Question about Current Status of Game

Hello everyone, long-time player here! I was thinking of returning to Guild Wars and was thinking about purchasing an upgrade or two for my account. Is there any news right now about ANET closing down GW? I don't want to purchase upgrades if its going to be closed down soon. Last, is this game super dead or is the market/economy still going ok?

This game was such a jewel and would hate for something to happen to it. Thanks!

Still going.

No news of a shutdown.
In fact, they've specially automated everything to allow it to run without much effort.

Playerbase is growing as people realise GW2 sucks and return to GW1.

Economy is slower than it was, but it's still going.

People still forming new guilds, new players buying the game for the first time.

It's looking ok for GW at the moment.

Sounds great! Also does anyone have a download link to Pawned2? The website it was on is down and also the thread on GWG. I was still hoping to make builds.

and there always are new people from anywhere, including those who do or dont like GW2, but wanna try GW, and i've seen several who enjoy GW alot

i've seen plenty of "i played GW2 first, but i like GW much better"
and "i like this game. is GW2 as good as GW?" (from someone who's new in GW)

when they hear that GW2 is totally different, they either go "oh, nvm then" or "i see, i'll try it someday later"

oh yea
dont compare GW nowadays to GW a few years ago (like when eotn was new), cuz thats what people do, and call GW dead, cuz when eotn was new, there were alot more people

people rather compare to years ago, than looking how it is without comparing
