Guess they do have a few peeps working thru things over there:

Gameplay Changes

Favor of the Gods is no longer required to access elite areas or receive blessings from god statues.
When active, Favor of the Gods now increases the drop rate of rare items.
Players are now restricted from changing the allocation of attribute points during PvP matches.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug with the Jack of All Trades Flux that permitted some attribute ranks to be set above 11.
Fixed a bug with the Like a Boss Flux that caused henchmen to retain the Boss buff.
Changed the text for the There Can Be Only One Flux to more accurately reflect its function.
Fixed a bug that prevented Tolkano from displaying the correct Monthly Automated Tournament rotation.

also noticed when I logged in the 'automated gameplay' announcement was missing....perhaps they have decided we need some love again.

i put it on GWO forums (which are now based on GW2 mostly)

its great, as we dont need favor for UW, FoW and the statues for both blessings and quests in some places

buffs in exploreables, being able to get to UW and FoW all time (without having to farm for the scrolls with z coins)

lets hope its twice as many gold drops with favor

wisdom title takes long, so a lil more gold items cant hurt

and yea, i hope they will do more nice stuff for us
i mean, that facebook page is full of ideas (search "guildwars philosophy facebook" on google and you get that page), which i like

1 same person, as others only said "you're doing great anet".... lol

I like it

It's not much, but any update that just doesn't automate things further is good !
And seeing bug fixes means someone is at least reading and working on fixing the reports. If it's a smaller team doing it, or just the janitor on his free time doesn't matter, just keep up the good work!

So im guessing Rare items means Golds etc? Not Rare mats like Ecto? Either way thats so awesome! And I will farm for the whole 20minutes of favor we get every other day! xD

I tend to agree on both points (that forum seems to only care about the few elite members and gw2-hence its name change- and as for what will drop more of----?)

This update was eerie and freaked me out.

A few hours before the update I was having a discussion about ecto prices and favor of the Gods and we were saying it really needed reworking now there's much fewer players to gain max titles for favor.

And then it happened!

This is a very welcome update.
Especially the increased drop % chance being increased while having favor, however does this apply too UW and FoW only?

only for rare items, also known as gold drops (not gold coins), not ecto's, unless they became gold items
and as far as i know, its just weapons and armors, which drop as gold more often

You bring up a very good point....would be nice it if affected ALL areas when (the previously known as) the favor of the gods is active....I am crossing my fingers!

I liked the update as I was growing concerned over the Favor system. Anyway, perhaps Scruffy will get off break and throw us one more bone with that mythical Paragon Update? Wintersday Present perhaps? C'mon, A.net...

Being mostly a PvE player in non-elite areas, I'm just glad that shrines got reactivated. It was so rare to have favor I didn't even bother /kneel-ing anymore. Nice to have a +1 attribute (among other buffs) for a fraction of the cost of a consumable.

Thank you for the info. It would have totally pass through me without notice. The change to favor is very welcomed. It was annoying to wait for the favor to get some of the quests.
