Gw and Gw2 HoM for new accounts

Hi everyone!

I started to play just one month ago (October 2013) and I read this on http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hall_of_Monuments:

"Players reaching a high enough rank in their Hall of Monuments will unlock exclusive rewards, including titles, companions, armor, weapons and miniature pets in GW2"

The problem is:

"These bonuses are expected to be available to any Guild Wars 2 account linked to a Guild Wars account that is created before the release of GW2."
"ArenaNet has not stated whether this also means that the bonuses will also be available to Guild Wars 1 accounts created after the release, but before the creation of a linked Guild Wars 2 account. "

What does it mean? Even if I manage to achieve the 50/50 HoM in GW, I can't have the bonuses in GW2 because my account is created after the release? Or can i do it as any other one? I hope someone can give me a positive answer...

I'm not sure even I understand what that second quoted sentence means. Also, there is no such thing as "companions" in GW 2.
Anyway, it doesn't matter whether you created your GW 1 account before or after the release of GW 2, you will still get the respective rewards from your HoM.

GW terminology. Companion = pet.

Animal companion = pet
Companion = the GW 2 version of GW 1's heroes, who ended up being removed from the game

Therefore, there is no such thing as "companions" in GW 2.

Okay, if it's that hard to admit.
