A question on current trading (returning player)

I seem to have a harder time selling inscription based weapons than OS. Is that the current market? People simply prefer OS weapons now for collecting?

I think this is a reflection on the fact that most people actively looking to buy weapons are people looking for OS weapons to add to their collections. Rarely does someone want to buy an inscription based weapon because collecting them is a pity (in my opinion - unless they are q8 gold).

By far most of the weapons around I would say are inscription based, and once you have one - you have them all theoretically. Which would attribute to this in my opinion.

Inscribable weapons tend to be for practical gameplay. In theory, any inscribable weapon can have any stats, and generally are not rare. Once you have one, you don't need another, you can just change the upgrades. Also, (with a few notable exceptions - obsidian edge, frog scepters, eternal blades and the like), they are not rare in R9-13 so people kit their heroes out with them.

It is this flexibility that makes them useful, but not sought after (unless the skin itself is rare). Just like rice. You can use it in thousands of meals, but you wouldn't choose to eat it on its own.

Uninscribable items will always cost more because of their rarity. Inscribable weapons just have to drop- you can put the mods on later. Uninscribable weapons have to drop with a useful mod already on them, making the chances of getting the one you want MUCH smaller, unless you buy it from someone else. That is why it's harder to sell inscribables.
