Even though I've been playing GW for some time, I don't know any of the prices, but I've heard q7/8 items can be worth stuff.
So I came across this q7 fire wand and was wondering if I should merch it or try to sell it.

Yeah it's not worth trying to sell because it's not max damage, sorry!

Yep. To be worth anything, a r7 has to be max damage for the weapon type or max armour (16) for a shield. But these items are very very old, from when max stats were possible on a r7.(2006-2008?)
As a new or recent drop, r7 can never, ever have max stats. The lowest req for max stats now is 8. They altered the game code a few years ago to that effect.
Shields can have 15 armour at r7 if they are new drops, but never 16.
Sorry it's not good news.
