Some simple Q's

Ok i have been playing this game enough to get a lvl 20 and am as far as Lions arch (i know i suck).

-What are skill points used for after you reach level 20, i mean i know u can buy skill with them but what other uses do they have.

-Also what are faction points, i have like 625 (low?) but dont know how to spend them

-the whole reason i got my nec monk to a 20 was so i could minion master but dont know the exact skill setup, i have all 3 summon creatures one and heal area but dont know what else to put there.

-why are war/monk so popular, other that they can solo and are good runners.

-What are the proper skills for a runner, i know sprint and charge are 2 but still need clarification...

Whew i think thats enough for now. any answers would be greatly appreciated.

-No other uses, besides buying skills.

-Faction points can be redeemed at Balthazar's Priests. You can only find them in PvP arenas. The skills and mods you unlock with your faction, can be used only for a PvP only character.

-Use your imagination. You'll get more useful skills later on in the game. Lion's arch doesn't give a lot of skills up till then. And their is a rumor that healing your minions using monk spells degenerates the minion's death even more.

-To put it simply, they are easy to play and maintain . No intelligence needed .

-Balanced stance is cool . You can search for other cool running builds using...

Hi there, will try and answer some of your questions

No other uses I'm afraid, can be useful if you decide to change secondary profession later on in the game.
Faction points are gained through pvp kills/wins. Faction points can be used to unlock skills items and runes for pvp use only, unlocking anything through faction will not give you the actual item.

I'm sure lots of people will jump in and give different answers to this one, the setup I use is

Animate Bone Fiend - Ranged attacks
Animate Bone Horror - good way to body block
Blood of the Master - Sacrifice health to give all minions close to you health (122 at 16 death)
Verata's Sacrifice - Sacrifice health to give your minions +10 health regen (Combats inherent degen)
Death Nova - Put this on Bone Horrors and watch your target fall
Order of Pain - Sacrifice health to give allies extra damage for short time - lots of minions make this worthwhile
Vamp Gaze - So the monk doesn't have to do all the work after all that sacrificing
Res Signet/restore life/rebirth

They are fairly simple to play, can take a fair bit of damage and a good way to learn the game in general, doesn't a part of everyone just want to cut away at some point or another?
To some extent it depends on where you are running, Balanced stance is useful for places where you'll be knocked down a lot, shields up I've seen used a fair bit, some sort of condition removal is generally smart to use, healing signet for the quiet safe spots. Again I expect someone will come along and disagree with me.

That's about it. As you progress the skill trainers will have more and more skills to choose from. Also, when you get to change your second profession, those points will come in handy.

People say they are easy to play. I am not sure because I didn't enjoy playing the Warrior class that much.

wow thanks for the replys, also. im very low on money and i heard some people talking about buying 15k for a piece of armor and they have the whole set!!! how did they get so much money and what are some good ways to get money fast.

None of the Orders affect minions.

How to find ways to make money: USE THE SEARCH BUTTON. There are a million posts on farming builds on here. Take the time to look at them.

Also, W/Mo is a HORRIBLE way to learn how to play Guild Wars. Easy, yes, but it will probably end up hurting you when you try to play other things.

hmm i can see someone was trying to be funny, wasnt needed though, i dont see why it hurts asking questions as long as people are willing to answer them.

I guess some questions get asked 424654562342534636435 times and regulars are tired of those.

So I can understand that however sometimes some questions are worthwhile bringing up again and again because sometimes patches or whatever 'change' the answer.
