Chat Option.

Hello

As a suggestive idea that could smoothen realtime communication.
Live Chat with targeted person/friend instead of sending guru emails, to be able too responde offline from the game more efficiently, via Guru without mail delivery breaks.

As this is just a suggestion i myself have no experience in what is required too make a live chat option

What do you think about this, forum users?

So, if I understand correctly, you're looking for a chat panel on guru that synchronizes with the whisper panel on GW? I can't see that happening. You'd need to authenticate the messages somehow, i.e, associate a guru account with an in game account, or at least have some means of connecting the guru chat panel to the Anet authentication server so you know you're talking to who you think you are. Given there's no GW1 api, that's not going to happen.

I have seen shoutbox things on other forums though, which is basically an instant relay chat that keeps the messages serverside (presumably only the last bunch) so that they remain when people log out / close their browser. You still wouldn't be able to sync it with GW and I don't think you can send messages to specific people either, but maybe it's more like what you had in mind.

I may have confused you a bit with my suggestion.
Clearly you cannot sync Anet accounts with Guru accounts.
Therefore i ment ONLY that guru accounts could chat with one and another and only via guru ofcourse.

The idea of shoutboxes comes close too what i mean, but thats on a general scale for all people too join a convosation.
While i intend the use on personal level for everyone.
Being able too Chat with your friends on guru, if they might be offline ingame

It should certainly be possible. Whether or not there's an existing app that can be plugged into the forum software I don't know (edit: a quick google search says yes, though I don't have any experience playing with servers and forum software so I'm not sure whether integrating such things would be easy or whether there would be any consequences of doing so).

As it was a suggestion and not a recommendation i hope this issue could be in the future a improvement of this great great forum you guys are running.
Which i most certainly love using anyday over the flood and spam that kamadan throws in my face.
