Relax Its Just A [GAME]

R/E

Allow me to start this post by saying how happy I am that there is still such a vibrant Guildwars community here! I've played many MMORPGs but Guild Wars has been, and probably always will be my absolute favorite game ever. Part of the reason why I loved this game so much was because of the people.

A little about me

I played this game from beta up until the release of GW2. I started in PvE then went to PvP for a long time, with the release of GW2 though I lost interest in the old game and soon after lost interest in GW2. I have always played support (Monk, Necro), or spellcaster classes.

The Challenge

So I've beaten Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall on different characters and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. One thing I have never done is beaten every expansion on one character this is where I need your help.
I'm looking for a group of 4-8 other players to do every (main/storyline) mission with me. I would really like to do this with my Monk. Ideally I think the best way to run through this is to have two groups of 4 going through simultaneously until eventually we can make a group of 8. Each group of 4 should probably be made up of 1 Mo, 1 War, 1 (Ranger, Mesmer or Ele) 1 Necromancer but that makeup is by no means set in stone. This group of 8 players would eventually make it through Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North.

I live on the East Coast in the USA and am looking for players that can find some time during the week or even on the weekend to accomplish this challenge.

Thank you for reading!

I'd definitely consider it, problem is I'm on Euro time so probably not much later than 6pm EST. I did a full Prophecies run (and half Factions) with full or almost full human teams, that was quite fun.

Yeah, Bristlebane organized something like this a while back. In fact, here's the topic: Playing Through Prophecies. But it kind of lost steam around the middle of Factions so I would suggest that you guys leave the Factions campaign for last or second last because people didn't seem to enjoy it as much as the others.

In fact, if you're going to attract the same people that did the run through Prophecies, it might be a good idea to start from Nightfall so that things don't seem too familiar and so that people can start as a Paragon or a Dervish, if they desire.

Last thing, I really don't think you should set any restrictions or recommendations for builds. Even a Necromancer or an Elementalist can fill the role of healers as long as they have Monk or Ritualist skills. And, in general, the chosen skills and the expertise of a player are far more important than their chosen profession.

Either way, I'll try to make it, even though I've been pretty distracted with a few other games lately. I'm in the EST timezone and most evenings or nights should be ok for me.

I was with Bristlebane on the Proph challenge with a new warrior, Dread Saxon. Since that time I got a second account (all 4 chapters), and have several PvP mules there that can be rerolled as PvE starter toons.

Am also on the East coast, so our schedules should sync perfectly. War, Monk, or Necro (play that too much already) don't appeal to me, but Mesmer, Ele, (or Ranger) would work really well. If I go Ele or Ranger would take Mesmer secondary since that's what I do best.

Another possibility for me is to go Ritualist (healer) on one team and then switch to damage Rit when the team merges to 8. As Rit I can take Nec secondary and also go Explosive Creation Minion Bomber.

From experience with trying to organize full human parties, it's almost exponentially harder to find a time for everyone to meet online for each player joining in. I could see two possible solutions:
1. Everyone agree on set times. Those that can't make it will just have to catch up best they can.
2. You organize a full blown event like the Playing Through Prophecies with a set speed, something like 2 missions/week. You form a party with whoever is online, and if more people that needed you form up two parties. Advantage is that other people can join up later by knowing where in your progress you are and try catch up by themselves.

Either way it might be good to form some form of dedicated topic, or creating a specific social group. Or a guild, but that's probably hardest.

I still need to get my prophecies character thru nightfall (was also a new account in the above mentioned thread)....and would love to do more with factions--it is my favorite chapter! USA here, but I play at pretty strange hours (like 3am est) but I can try to be around at more normal daytime hours (who needs sleep anyways?)
