Been chatting to a guildie on gw2 and he mentioned this was still in his possession, we were debating what it might be worth these day and figured we could use some help to ascertain it's value.

Ahh the old, "my guildy has a r7 Crystaline" bit. Never gets old.
No such item ever has, ever will, ever could have, at anytime in the game's history, existed given the drop mechanics of the skin.

I'd say at least 32.3k above Oofus' pc.
While I also have a slight doubt as to the existence, I was curious why this drop was never possible. We have confirmed r6 and r7 gold crys, which much have come from the unlocked chests...which produced max r7s. What portion of the history am I missing?

Nobody has ever seen one.
Theoretically it's could exist, but without seeing it ingame nobody will believe it.
A screenshot will not prove it because they can be photoshopped.

Afterthought....
We are all assuming that it is max damage (15-22). There is no mention of this. I myself have owned a r7 14-20 OS crystalline which I sold a couple of years or so back for 200e.... http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/q...048&highlight= So perhaps the one he claims to have is non-max. (If he actually has one)

But to my recollection those chests did not contain max req 7 golds, the Ice Floe chests that once could drop Crysts was too high-level an area to fall within the "sweet spot" for max r7s.
But for argment's sake..... I'll withdraw my "ever could" statement.
