Firstly texmod
I'm using a new-old pc and didn't had that kind of issue on previous pcs. I'm loading as usual tagret application, selecting gw.exe. In package mode I'm using cantha 2014 (tried also that old single campaign maps). I'm always running from package mode and probably tried every output format but it still didn't worked. Here are screens of my texmod setup:

and heres a weird thing I've noticed (above sunspear great hall). Here is the texture similar to tex mod, but i had to make my screen brighter to see this and it doesn't looks like this in every place of the map so making cartographer is still difficult:

Other weird thing that also happened. I've launched gw with texmod as usual but it didn't worked. I've minimalized Gw to start bar, then I've closed texmod, turn back to gw. Log out using charracter select, selected another one and texmod worked! Tried this a couple of times but it didn't happened anymore.
Xfire thing. I'm using that new kind of xfire and I've turned off XIG because of xfire shortcuts that we're similar to gw gameplay. When I'm typing my password and logging in, game crashes. I need to turn xfire, run game and then turn it on again and it's only working that way.
If u guys have any solutions or ideas, please help me! If i made a thread in bad place, please redirect it.

hm, I am not using the newest one (think mine is from 2008 or so), and it still works fine (used it this past week). The difference I am seeing with mine is in your 2nd link packages screen---I have all of the boxes on the left selected (the draw control..., show texture...and replace texture, though I have never looked at that tab the whole time I have used texmod ).
I have never used xfire so I cant help there.

Texmod:
I'm slightly confused. What exactly are you trying to do? If all you want to do is use an existing texture you shouldn't be going into logging mode. Logging mode + package build are for extracting textures and creating .tpf files.
If you're having trouble getting Texmod to run with GW, try running it (GW) without Texmod. Usually if there are updates Texmod won't apply.
Other than that, I'm using the 'Cartography Made Easy Complete Collection' instead of individual ones, which gives me a nice clear blue overlay instead of that horrible brown one. Perhaps try that.
Xfire:
Don't know anything about this either.

I'm still using the old xfire client so I never experienced any problems like that. However I had similar problems with recording programs. Maybe check xifre's stream and recording settings and make sure everything is turned off.

xfire is done. IMO they have not kept in the loop of what gamers need. the decoder they use is crap. half the time it doesnt broadcast properly.
if your trying to record your gameplay i suggest using. OBS
https://obsproject.com/
also, if you use multiple copies of GW for example using multilaunch you have to update both copies of gw or texmod will stop working and keep opening the non updated version with no texmod effects.
