Error 007 for Great Temple of Balthazar America only?

This is a new one for me...

I have two characters that can't log in any more. Characters, not accounts.

Both are at GTOB American districts and receive error code 007, telling me that my connection to the server was lost and to check my internet connection. It's only those two characters that are affected. The other characters can log in as normal.

Anybody got any ideas? It's got me confused....

Turns out it's just the American server... Others work fine.

I am standing there right now (just logged in--see time on my post).
Not sure why you are having issues, though I am in the USA.

I'm not in the US but can connect to GTOB just fine. No idea what the problem could be.

Changed server, logged them in euro server, zoned to another town, then back to american... Those two characters can log in now.

But if I take the same characters to GTOB AE1 I get the same error 007. Every time. It works fine for other servers though.

I was in GTOB AE1 yesterday and heard some people talking about not being able to get into Kamadan. I didn't stick around long but some were suggesting it was a routing issue.

Not sure if this has any relevance but I had the same problem while playing GW2 but never GW1, where I couldn't log into a character in a certain spot.

I asked in my guild and some said they had the same problem and they said it was a problem with some DNS settings and that I should change my DNS settings to Google.

I searched on how to change my DNS settings to Google, did it, and now I don't have any problems logging in anywhere.

May not be of any use to use but I thought I would share my experience.
