The Quest For Rare Weapons That We All Want But Cant Afford

Since I started playing this game before it came out on the shelves, there were 2 things about weapons that have plagued my mind for a while. The first is the overall annoyance of having weapons with different names yet have the same graphic, for example a butterfly sword and a wingblade. Honestly, whats the point of giving a weapon a different name when it looks exactly like something else. Enemies in this game have the same problem, but this is all a topic for a different discussion.

The other conundrum behind weapons are the weapons that are so unique and hard to find that trying to get a hold of a max dmg version of it can cost an arm and a leg, and maybe all your ecto along with it. In my opinion, some of the best examples are Sickles, Tribal Axes, and the "Orrish" earth staffs. Of course its easy to find the weak versions of these, but we all desire the best of the best, and its that desire that motivates many of us to search Tyria far and wide to find that dream weapon. I myself have searched long and hard, but I havent been fully successful. For example, the best Tribal Axe I ever found was a 6-23 out in the Talmark Wilderness. I see so many people say they knew where to get them like crazy, yet never reveal where they can get them.

I feel its time we all helped each other out and shared our knowledge on where we can find those gems we all want. I'm sure some people are afraid if everyone knew where to go to get one, their value would drop due to over-farming. However, considdering the overall rarity of these particular drops, I'm sure the worst that can happen is that their prices would deflate a bit, making it easier for more people to get one. So if anyone has any knowledge or insight or theories as to where we can get these drops, please feel free to share it.

Anyhow... you pretty much find Sickles and Tribals anywhere but the places where max items drop. To find the really good ones you go to higher level areas.

What are orrish earth staffs?

Earth staffs that have a similar skin the the Sceptre of Orr that you get to carry in one of the missions.

i was out in talmark wilderness, and by passing by the portal to majesty's rest, i wondered, does that lvl 30 bone dragon boss Rotscale drop sephis axes since its a high lvl undead? the boss itself is simple to solo, just curious if anyones gotten lucky off that thing.

has anyone tried farming the undead in the riverside providence mission? i gave it a couple tries, got a few sephis axes around 6-20, 6-22, think theres potential for a good drop there?

Aren't all of the collector swords the same graphic as a rinblade? If so, then the answer to your question is yes.

There is a max collector's Long Sword, 15% while enchanted, with the Rinblade graphic available just outside of Dunes of Despair. Perfect for the Stefan gear.

The Undead drop sephis axes, so im off the kill all the undead in tyria!!!!

I find Sickles all the time with moderate damage farming outside Lion's Arch

also i got a crystalline in Fow, after completing the defend the temple quest at the forge master!! THeres a Large Chest there wait to you complete the mission before opening it or youll get some lame drop! Ive gotten a Magmas shield, a crystalline sword so far from it!!! Rare drops are not so rare~~~LOL

highest damage sickle I have found was 6-19 I think it was dropped by a drake, they are so nerfed now though

with the recent pvp event i havent really had the time to check the forums, however, I came across 3 interesting weapons. first 2 are rare hammer skins i havent seen before. One skin has the hammer head shaped like a large silver spike that sorta resembles a bird's head in silver. the second is a rare skin for a war hammer (from what ive been told) that looks like an ovular stone. if i can find pics of them ill post em cuz im sure my descriptions arent that great. the third came from a question i asked my guildmates on saturday. i was at the new tombs and i mentioned how i wish the sword the ghostly hero uses was a real weapon. one person responded tht its something called a Rikki blade. if anyone has any insight to these 3 weapons please share ur knowledge ^_^

Those rare hammers are the new asian collection and preorder items, and the american hammer pre order item

I say collection cuz the coca cola company gives em as promotion I think
