Gaile jsut stopped by. Sorry to say I cant get my screens to go on Image Shack, but hopefully someone else will post them here. Most notably she siad there would be and event of some sort in teh next 24 hours and a hint at new green items. Please post the screens of Gaile here please if you got them.

I loved the train game Gaile has arranged. too bad my GW lagged too much due to the number of people in LA for any competition

Also, at the end, there was a huge congo line. At least 80 people must have been following Gaile throughout LA while she was running. Too bad I can't get my screens to work : (

ANOTHER RESEST!?! This is gonna ruin my guild, after the first reset 5 of our best players quit and it took us about 2 or 3 months to gvg again. Wow i even may quit this is bogus

Huh? Why did you quit? How you expect to start another GvG season?
Do you want the top 10 team to remain there forever?
Because without a ladder reset you basically have no chance.
BTW - did you not notice the ladder has been FROZEN for 2 weeks now?
Again - I dont see how a ladder rest makes anyone quit?

From her interview at photics.com she mentioned about "a seasonal tournament" Assuming that means the ladder, then it's going to be reset every so often. Unless she's talking about some other tournament, in which case who knows if this will be regular (but I'm guessing she may be talking about the current ladder/tournament)

Think of the reset every season as in terms of real sports. Real football teams, soccer teams, basketball teams, or lacrosse teams all have to work hard every season to be number 1. Every season though, it resets and no one is the champion until the next season decides who is. Do all the pro football players quit after each season because they worked hard to be number 1 but it gets reset? No. In my opinion only the lazy people are the ones to quit because of this (no offensives meant to anyone).
And yes the congo line was awesome and she talked about everything mentioned above. Hope this update isnt just a contest or some mroe palyoff games or something, hopefully and actual content update (I dont care if its small!)

ZOMG!!. going to preorder 6 copies of guild wars 2 from different stores to get the preorder items. Also all these changes sound great. Wish we can get a sneak peek at what Chapter 2 really look like. Any news on whether enemies bosses will finally look different from regular grunts?

I expect either skill balance changes (start of ladder season) or maybe, dare I say it, Auction House. But most likely skill balance changes, altough not sure which skills it would be...

The "Major Update" was the announcement of the Factions Weekend Event I'd dare to say.

Well the last (and only) MAJOR update was Sorrows Furnace which included an enitre new area. Going by past updates, I'd say skill balances and auction houses don't really earn the title major update. We won't see auction houses until chapter 2 I bet.
I wouldn't be surprised however, if the major update was the moving of tombs and the arenas to the "battle isles" in preparation for chapter 2.

The update was announced its is going to be this pre-reslease preview of GW Factions... and possibly "Other" special events", but this major update will probably NOT include new areas such as SF.
As well I would expect spell balance. Hopefully they don't try and nerf SS.
