Watch out for those scammers in game

Just a warning.

I sold an unded mini Kuunavang to Oo D A W N in a guru Sell thread. Today I was contacted in game by Ooo D A W N who wanted to complete the transaction. When I questioned him (as the transaction went through yesterday), he insisted that I had given the mini to the wrong person. When I insisted I hadn't, he got nasty and logged.

So be very careful when completing trades in game. Copy/past the IGN from guru into your friend's list and check it before believing you have the right person. If they say they are using a different account, make them get on the correct character.

Nasty people out there who are obviously scanning guru for opportunities.

Yes, We have had LOTS of folks mention that others have been impersonating them ingame. Make sure you have contacted the person you wish to trade with and set up a time and place. Make sure you know who you are trading with---names can be easily made to look like others!!

(and the guru note here: guru does not take any responsibility for any trades that happen in game, etc....we can only moderate what happens ON guru, so be careful! and mindful!)

While on the topic I might as well mention Martin Duchowny. He can be found in Kamadan wanting to buy 10 ectos for 100k, only offering 100g in trade. When confronted about it he just smile and laugh. Others reported he had tried the same against them.
