Hey all,
I just returned to guild wars after 5 years or so and the nice thing about that is that you get alot of pets to sell
The only problem I have is that I don't know what currently the active city is I guess there still is like a "main" city with some concentration of players, the question is wich one
Greets.

The trading hub is Kamadan, which is in Elona (the Nightfall campaign). You'll also want to move to the American districts if you aren't there already.

Thanks alot! I have checked kamadan but only on international and europe districts, didn't know it was on america.
How come the most active district is america and not international?
and I have another question, I see ecto has become the main current. But I can't figure out how much it's exactly worth. I calculated a couple trades where it was possible (people offering money/e for an ammount of z-keys or whatever) and I came to the conclusion it's worth 5-10 plats ea but thats kinda a huge difference and can you sell ecto straight to people if you need cash or is there a way to turn it into cash fast?
Sorry for all these questions

First of all, welcome back to the game.
1. To gage the price of ectos the best way to start the day is check the Rare Materials Trader AI located in most guild halls or Embark Beach or any major town. Kamadan traders should riff off of this price and sell slightly under it.
You can sell it to an AI Rare Materials Trader but it will be worth far less than his sell price. Better to sell to people.
2. International Zone was never remotely the most active zone. Since the very beginning the American Zone had the overwhelming numbers. As the game aged and the numbers dropped it still had the most numbers so more and more people in European or Asian zones simply moved over to it.
Int'l Zone originally was created more as a meeting place to party up between players playing in otherwise different languages and time zones and never was a major trading zone per se. In fact many people switched to the Int'l to avoid the endless trade chatter in Kamadan when wanting to play Nightfall in peace and quiet.

Aha I see, the price is variable. Thanks for the info.
Well about the old days, it's possible that the american servers were the most populated ones but I did all my selling/merchanting on europe or international. Those servers back in the day were more than crowded enoug. The international server is suppose to be the server where you can find all people from all regions, atleast thats how guild wars intended to. But things change and it's not a big deal. i'm already happy to see there still is a good ammount of active players and this after all these years
