O.K for the 99% of the time playing t doesn't bother me, but the 1% of the tme this bothers me, Hero AI, you have "stand your ground up" and heroes stll run the second they are targeted(caster heroes), to scared to even take one hit, not only do they kite(making "SYG" pointless), but they tend to kite directly into the enemies and further behind them, sometimes luring more, BUT when something like Chaos storm is casted, they stand there in it only slightly moving but still n AoE, then you have melee heroes, who you can get to tank, UNTIL, they get blasted by AoE, then they kite and brng enemy groups back on to your caster(rarely use melee heroes, but NF required missions, makes it so u have to use them for some parts).
All's suggest is a simple fix, because not even enemy castes run and kite as bad when targeted by melee.
Also I wouldnt mind being allowed 12 heroes in Urgoz and Deep, and it's be nice since the gam is so dead, if heroes could use PvE skills, with a "limiter" I.E no more then 2 heroes can use the same PvE only skill, so people don't go n with P.I based builds on heroes.
I know anet has no intent to do majore updates to gw1, since their trying to still fix gw2/keep L.A.S updated, but I mean come on, it wouldnt take many to update.

yeah it would be nice if heroes didnt have to be micro managed to move OUT of chaos storm, meteor shower, etc (and stay still when at other times---).
I always find it funny when ducky is running around like a coward with a level 3 animal NOT doing any damage to him running behind (but still hitting him), and thus not doing any healing ---and even flagging him will not keep him from running around.
but never going to be fixed, so just get used to idiotic hero antics.

the thing that sucks, is there are still quite a lot of players playing, sure not many teaming, but still a lot playing and anet doesnt give a crap, because they see gw2 as their new cash cow, not realising people are also still buying gw1 for the VERY CRAPPY gw2 HoM rewards(was so disappointed in them)

A single fix could be:
- A new hotkey to toggle Hero Kite behavior. Toggling it off will make them stand their ground. Toggling it on will activate normal behavior and immediate make any hero who recently took damage to initiate kite-response.
Then you could get 3 behaviors in a single key depending if you toggle on, off, or doubleclick to force immediate hero action.

and why were at it, I'd like to add the kite deal, i was complaining about, happens whether or not if the caster hero is on "attack, guard or flight".
and no matter the circumstance, a warrior hero should always hold it's ground, because if a pug war kied back a bit and lured the group into the team, you bet you sweet A, the team would ridicule him/her, call him newb/noob and after the 3rd time, most likely map out (seen it happen)

Also, heroes being able to hold items for you, I.E forcing them to carry Melandru's offerings, Sceptor of Orr, Spear of Achermus etc., they actually have the toggle in the bar if you click the number in there names to force drop an item, so if we lock them onto an item, then make it so they cant drop it until forced to.
because playing as a melee with no caster Pug/friend, makes those missions stupid, i gotta stand there and tank and spam the crap out of my heroes to stay on a single target, because they think its a anything goes, when your not hitting, makng "force drop" pointless unless you play with a hero, that uses rit item spells/skills(I.E ashes of blah blah, Vengeful was Khanei" etc.)
just sucks, no fix/update will ever get done, since it's all about gw2 now, but it doesnt hurt to see what others think about these suggestions.

what if heroes's AI would change, so they wont runaway unless its aoedot skills?
they wont run from a skill being spammed twice (flare), but will run from any of the aoe dot spells, like meteor shower, breath of fire, unsteady ground etc
and maybe if its spammed more than 3 times
i know anet isnt in the mood to do something with GW, but maybe they will sometimes do positive updates what people ask for, to keep people playing and still get the money
as for GW2, they just make money with it, so they wont do that as much (positive stuff people ask for), except maybe bug fixes and such
positive things means stuff not letting people down, like nerfing or changing skills so people cant use it for what they do now (like shadow form being used for farming), so that those who do enjoy farming, can keep doing that, but people who wanna use certain skills but cant, as they are weak or useless, get their changes/buffs maybe nerfs for monsters
anyway, those ideas are nice, especially the "let heroes carry items" part
maybe sounding like a smartass, but dont heroes drop items only if 1. they use an item spell (holding scepter of orr, but when need to res they use the item spell which resses) and 2. if they want the endeffect to trigger?
and ffs, let heroes not attack ranger spirits when you pass one without attacking it
heroes dont start fighting until you do, or when under attack, yet they use skills right when they see a spirit not attacking, even when no minions with you (i know, cuz a few times my MM was far behind cuz of casting aotl, and the rit wasting spirits and ele using its spells, so the minions didnt attack anything yet, but the others did....)
thats an important flaw too, imo
so if heroes wouldnt start attacking and using skills against enemies who dont do anything, it'd be less stressful for the teams, especially in vqs

and per say stuff like melandrus offering, if you stand right next to where you have to place it for bonus, the hero would automatically do it for you(because if dropped Melandrus Offering break).

the button to force drop is nice, but if heroes want to use an item spell, no matter if its the res one or another.... the res item spell was an example, they drop the previous item
so it might be the same with normal items
you could test it by giving them more item spells, and see if they drop the ones they normally keep holding (like for energy or such), and also take 1 they like to cast when something's going on, to see if they drop the first over the other
if that would happen, then letting em hold an item might get harder
there are people who use item spells on their heroes (not me atm, might try making a build with such spell later on), and if they rather cast that while holding an item for a quest or mission, it's gonna be annoying, too
so not only would they need a force drop button, but also a "keep it, no matter what" button.... or it should work like that, so they wont cast an item spell while holding another item from any other source than spells
would take some time, but anet should still do
as for res, sometimes stuff might go wrong, and a res would be needed..... you sound like you think you're better than people whose heroes die
no offense meant, just sounds like that to me

well at one time some guys wanted the heroes AI changed they did it and it was there biggest mistake.
they all just stood there and danced in any aoe.
within a week they reverted it back to what it is now.
So, adapt and just be thankful they reverted it back to what it is now.

they could disable heroes using emotes when enemies are in soul reaping range or something
and they just made a mistake once, they can do better in a second try.... i hope
