I feel like factions makes nf look like a cake walk, seems like a lot of missions are op in comparison..

i never liked cantha much, but nowadays i can do alot there alone
but yes, its harder in cantha

remember that many ele changes we had not that long ago, buffed enemies (double dragon used by Jade Brotherhood Mage and such, and ice spear with overcast spells used by kappa's, gives health regen)

nowadays the only problems i face in cantha are eternal grove (i just suck at it) and tahnnakai temple (double dragon on several jade brotherhoods combined with rit res)
in NF i only am bad at gate of pain, and the varesh mission brings some troubles too, but NF itself is much easier

so yes, i agree that NF is easier and cantha is much (to me) harder

try it with just henchies and then you will really feel its difficulty! With heroes its a cake walk. Nightfall gets more challenging when you get to torment areas.

I actually enjoy factions the most of the 4 choices, but thats just me.

As cosy said, try with henchmen.
bought a new trilogy+eotn for $9,99 and went through all expansions with henchmen only, it was really fun!

Cantha is the easiest by far IMO, I have even used a mule account to get masters on every mission with henchmen(Includng Eternal Grove), i recently just got legendary survivor on an assassin, cantha was of course my first 1 to get the protector title for... not once in cantha did my assassin have to exit a mission or even take 2 steps back, or even repeat it for masters, night falls I had to take a few safety steps here and there, back up once or twice, and in general some the missions are harder to get master for I think Dzagnour Bastion up in vabbi, with the bombards, is harder then any factions mission.

faction HM is a joke, I have 4 legendary guardians on my main account, a 5th that almost has Guardian of Cantha.. infact all of Hard Mode is a joke until you reach Elite Areas and Dungeons and even then alot of those Dungeons are jokes for HM... the elite missions are a challenge in HM, but they get boring really quick, to repetitve.. and vanquishing in cantha can be done with my eyes closed.

I'd say Winds of Change with henchmen in both NM and HM would be a challenge and the Deep + Urgoz(using 7 heroes in a 12 man area) can be a challenge in HM, but other then that, I'd say NF has more challenge then Factions.

I found Nightfall a lot more difficult back in the day (Factions was quite easy) although the elementalist update did change this for Tahnnakai Temple which is now somewhat challenging (and by that I just mean you have to actually flag your heroes a bit) which in GW's current state is very impressive considering how easy it's become.

I recall back in the day Factions was generally tougher though NF had the tougher end game. Masters on Tahnnakai Temple was the thing that took me the longest to get throughout my whole GW history. Part of that is probably that it's timed though, so you were pretty much forced to be really aggressive to get it under 20 mins, which is not great when the things you're overaggroing explode on death.

I'd also point out NM - if you do it as it was originally intended (no heroes, no PvE skills or superpowered regular skills like Panic) - can actually be quite hard at times, in fact significantly tougher than anything you'll face in HM without those restrictions. Ring of Fire is rough (the 'easy' back route serves up a long procession of Incendiary Arrow spammers) and Hell's Precipice features the buffed Mind Burn and Rodgort's Invocation, though they're of course Prophecies examples. Factions features Mind Burn as well, plus the new RoJ can be a nightmare, especially in Visunah Square where Togo/Mhenlo are more than happy to sit in it. Can't think of any foes who have become noticeably more powerful in NF atm, though it makes sense given it's the most recent of the three.

I'm one of the ones that think Factions is the easiest by far. That and the EotN main missions of course. I've gotten a dozen toons through Factions for Protector and either 3 or 4 of them for Guardian even. But I do indeed use heroes and not henchmen. (I'll never go back to henchmen ever for anything).

OTOH I only got one toon through Nightfall for Protector and never got him through for Guardian. There are several missions there I can't seem to do alone even with heroes. But Factions, even HM Eternal Grove, seems way easier and doable to me.

Odd how the same things are different for different players. NF has always kicked my behind. I can't even get the bonus in NM for the crevasse one playing alone cause no matter how many times I tried with how many different heroes and skill bar settings, one of the two runners always gets away. And don't even get me started on the bastion one where 15 of my toons are parked never to get through in NM even without the bonus.

Also the one with Koss and going up the big steps and groups running by you to kill the dude you have to protect one kills me. I'm not good at stopping multiple groups at once playing alone outside of the Eternal Grove one which seems so easy compared to the NF ones. Weird how that works.

I think that is the thing. The types of "stop multiple parties doing multiple things" missions I suck at. Always will. I'm more a tortoise than a hare so those missions aren't up my alley. I think Eternal Grove is fine with me cause the two gates are so close or I'd have trouble with that too.

Being a tactical tortoise type, the timed ones in Factions looked intimidating at first and I failed a few times but I just gained more speed at killing with practice and hero flagging placements so they soon became doable with no problem. Just can't juggle multiple balls in the air at once though. Also I have a bad sense of direction even in real life that carries over to a gaming environment. So my toon spins around and gets confused on which way to run for a couple of seconds ... seconds that are crucial to reaching other groups to kill in time. So I think it is your general game play skills and weaknesses that makes either NF or Factions seem harder to any given player.

I think that the game is fun. You can make it as easy as you wish or make it as hard. ie using henchmen. It depends on what you want out of the game.

I wont say how many accnts I have and alts lets say you would say get a life.

As some of you guys remember the Monk strike. That was fun.

I still go on gw1 although I have a mountain of alts on gw2 also

To pick out one Proph was the best for lore and others when they arrived made it more easily done.

So to say a joke for factions would disagree. Anyone can run through any campaign with the right builds. So make it fun play factions with just using the heroes /hench without skipping over to others for heroes.
I still love gw1 above gw2 because you can make it easy/hard if you so wish
