is there a tool where you can make your character with?
i mean so that you can make a char to see how it looks ingame, maybe with armor too, that'd be nice.... and costumes too, but i think thats even harder to make, so doubt that'd exist

if anyone know of such tool, it'd be nice to make chars and see how i want them ingame, please tell me, here in this topic rather, so others can take a look too, i'm probably not the only one who'd like it

ps. i dont know how to find such things on google, as i suck at searching like that, and if i search anything from GW, i get GW2 sites mostly

There is no external character creator.

There was a program called GWDressUp that allowed you to view armors and such on a character in game without having bought them. It was removed from distribution by the creator though, I think because the legality of it was dubious. The thread should be in Community Works if you want to look it up.

In other words, if you want to see how something looks you either need to get it together yourself or ask in the screenshot requests forum to see if someone else has.

2 other ways to do this:
have a free slot and just pick different characters--you can always delete if they dont look right.
or
if you already have one of that character class---visit the change npc in gtob--you can change from all chapters as well as male/female (only thing I believe you cant change is height).

however,
neither will give you the character with armor---that will have to be done as Marty said --via screenshot requests.

Gw dressup is still publicly available via an archive of the earlier ArgosSoft site. . . I won't leave the url because I'm uncertain whether that would be appropriate, however a simple google search will lead you there easily -->

Also, it isn't (to my knowledge) anything that would get you banned, it acts similar to a TexMod in detectability.
