what os are you using?
I have an old XP laptop (from 2005--geesh cant believe its considered old now), that I play on with integrated graphics (no graphics card), my only issue is directX 9...I cant upgrade to 10 so some areas I can not play (some nightfall, and ALL dungeons, asuran areas).
So if you have a good os you should be ok---though I am no IT guy.

I use a software called SpeedFan to monitor my computer temperatures. It's a small program and It hardly takes up any CPU while running. It will give you an indication as to how warm your laptop is getting.

Warm is ok. Hot is ok too really. You only need to worry if you smell burning. Then your legs are on fire.
