It has come to my attention that someone calling himself Maxx Borken is operating scams between gw2 and gw1. This is not me. I don't even own gw2. I'm not sure of the details, but an angry guy yelled at me today as a result. Can anyone confirm this? He says he has screenshots. I have never (and never will) scammed anyone. My reputation speaks for itself. I won't have some fanboy using my name to run scams.

This is good news, thanks Stuey.

Although from how adamant this guy was, and how bad his English was, I cant be sure the name he gave was accurate.

People have always done stupid and dishonest stuff like this since the game started. There have been several mods that used to do big trades and people would make similar account names. Probably does not help that you are so outspoken and always bragging about your guild

Maybe I should start playing again so I can have an imposter too. I feel left out.

Not so much these days I learned that lesson.

I have been impersonated before. That doesn't bother me. The imposter using my name to scam bothers me.

It is s 2 edged sword---you are very well known (and known for very specific things), people are always looking for an easy target (and just as many are stupid enough to fall for scams----), notoriety comes with both good and bad points (just ask any one who has won the lottery)....sorry to hear you are finding out about the really bad ones.
