Trip down memory lane.....

Greetings gurus.
Our beloved game turned 10 on April 25th this year. A lot has happened since then, and even now the community is still going strong.
I wonder who was the first though. First to complete the game, first to win in the Halls, first to beat the game in Hard Mode, first to start a collection, first to discover the unlimited minion armies, first to accidentally merch a rare weapon, first to start power trading, first to achieve GWAMM etc etc.
Let's see if we can get to the game's pioneers in this thread. The trailblazers who set the bar for the rest of us to follow.
And please, no wild claims, or 'well I did that 10 minutes before you did' childish claims. Let's try and get screenshots or other proof of these over-achievers.
What were you the first at?
I'm also asking this on the Facebook group...

Nice idea for a thread
I'll start with: First R15 HA-Title Starcraft. Must've been in 2008 orso
https://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=DE&v=pUTEKnoC2Aw&hl=de
Still one of the few legit maxed pvp-titles.
Afair one of my alliance-buddies was on the first team to finish the old UW in 7 minutes. I'll post the screenshot, if i find it

I'd be more interested in saluting the first to share what they learned. The pioneers of wiki who let the rest of us enjoy the game without going crazy trying to figure everything out for ourselves and let the rest of us play the game for the fun and joy of it.
I raise a pixel cup to them above any people just racing around doing stuff and then sitting back and bragging but not sharing their knowledge. To our unknown online mentors!

Glad this started with highlighting the PvP potion of the game, unlike who's pulled out the most Charr fur & other resembling activities, although there were some players in the surrounding area who have also earned themselves a place among eternal legends.
But to begin with, let's mention two guilds to which I'd attribute one of the earliest Halls holdings... these would be The Fianna [Fi] and K A R M A [ZEN], and it happened much earlier than the game's release, somewhere near the fall of the autumn of 2004, a couple of months after The Hall of Heroes has been turned into competitive area from attainable outpost. The AoE pressure such as Fire Magic spells or Balthazar's Aura was really favored at the time, as were the "dev hax" which harbingered conclusions of events by releasing absolutely astonishing stuff such as pyromaniacal Gwens, exploding Gnomes or Sand Wurms attacking Lion's Arch, which was about 3 times larger than Hakewood, but, that would be a totally different story... for those of you who weren't around by the mentioned days, here's a fortunate opportunity to relive these moments.
Getting back to the PvE counterpart... I guess I'll actually provide only one name, but back in the days, it used to be the one almost any 55 hp farmer had been familiar with, as about 3/4 of those taught themselves the art by watching this player's videos, and this name is Lady Poverty, who was offering some really helpful farming guides such as this, along with now-oldschool UW farming footage, which is still available for your pleasure.
Then, what else... perhaps my own record of passing the original campaign with 0 deaths prior GW: Factions release and obtaining one of the first Survivor titles on the entire server... yes, these were 3 rather intensive days, more like a gaming marathon. But this wasn't something I considered serious in comparison to other activities we did by that time. Perhaps this could qualify as a stand-alone nomination of one of the most well-played Ranger spikes in the history of Prophecies. Holy smoke, I'd even be up to go through the whole experience once again, but there are hardly enough people qualified to exercise it at the desired level in the guilds I'm sticking with now.
I didn't list things I value the most, though, but it's simply as they aren't anyhow connected to certain in-game accomplishments, rather to being able to efficiently communicate with different people, for the benefit of all wanderers across Tyria.

I, too, want to say THANK YOU to the pioneer wiki folks. Without you I would have despressquit over several missions. The Crystal Desert Missions took me forever (Dunes of Despair give anyone else trouble???)
Thank you to you unsung heroes . I thnk you are the real heroes for taking the time and care to help the folks like me (I am still rather dweebie even after several years of play) achieve several fancy titles (Eternal Legendary Guardian ... Eternal Legendary Vanquisher ... etc.)
Your maps, your directions, your notes, your care and tips. Thank you, thank you!

You could get it from Russian version of Nightfall as well. Not saying that you did but it cannot be a proof....
On the other hand I am sincerely hoping I was not the one who first sold black dye to merch for 1g in pre searing....

When I first started GW it was still new(ish) and the ring of fire mission took literal days to find a group that didn't totally suck and fail 9000 times in a row.
Man I reallllllly miss the release days of GW, shit was hard as hell lol

I like how literally everyone said the Mesmer sucked... until I started using one in like early 2007. I learned everything there was to know about how to properly play a Mesmer, blasted people with it in PvP, then just started telling everyone in-game and online, then within a few months all of the sudden people love Mesmers and start talking about how awesome they are? Coincidence?
We all leave our marks on the world, directly or indirectly and it is no exception in virtual worlds too which are driven by real life people manipulating them. I'm not claiming I made the Mesmer more popular, but you never know. All it takes is for me to show a few people, and then for them to show some, aka the snowballing effect.

In 2006 (potentially even before) the Mesmer was well established in PvP.
Period.
GvG monks brought energy hiding sets to counter those pesky mesmers. That was the one Achilles tendom of the boon prots.
And boon prots started to get replaced by Blessed Light monks. BL's a factions skill btw.

Brought back some good memories, that mention of RoF.
I haven't got the computer that had screenies from my old account otherwise I'd post a few up, but being one of the first to complete Prophecies is among my gaming highlights.
First time was as a Tank (warrior), second time was as an ele. The dreaded front gate!
Helping people through that mission was fun for the first few hundred times...

As I recall, myself and my MTSC co-teachers were the first to use an EMo in the backline. Not much of a contribution as a lot of people are pig-headed about team builds, but I liked the fact that we encouraged profession diversity in a speed-clear and came up with variants that were truly viable alternatives. It was also a great way to teach people to EMo for UWSC and DoASC as there was a lot less pressure so people could understand how an EMo worked without worrying so much about bonds dropping or being yelled at.

Well, I'm far from the first to complete anything in game, but this is the first time to log into this account since 2007, lol. Used to post a lot back in the day. =P

Oh and trying to solo heal that place with old builds containing Healing Breeze and Orison of Healing? The pain lol brought so much pain.

First off, my dates are probably inaccurate but I remember the times.
Welp i remember i started near NF release or something I believe [started in december 2006] and my main was an elementalist. all i knew how to do was spam flare -> fireball -> flare -> phoenix -> flare and meteor shower on foes that stood still. also i started as E/W just cause i loved sprint and i was stuck running around with a hammer in ascalon lost as all heck and some good samaritan helped me along my way and gave me The Stormbringer [newb nf green] to finally get out and on my way. i think i was like lvl 12 before i found my way out of presearing and another couple weeks til i found yaks bend. lol. but cheers to that guy if you by any chance stumble across this and recall this moment, i still have my customized Stormbringer. it was my first green, gift, and realization of what to use as an ele. guess you could say he got me started on the right path. about 4 months after this, my ele had Elite Skill Hunter in Prophecies which was my first title. big steps for me at the time i thought.
i like the idea of this thread so i will also mention Vexing Narcosse, a very very skilled necromancer back then. when i got to DoA the first time it was like summer of '07 and her and i constantly tried to find a way to do DoA with heroes before EotN came out as it was not popular at the time to try so [also you could only use 3 heroes per person]. we ended up using a bunch of SS heroes and such and microing them as well as micro healing with monks. i don't remember the exact team composition but we beat DoA in like 3hrs. no consets or anything which was great and a good feeling of accomplishment. i don't know for sure that we were the first, but we were the first that we knew of. and so we started working on team comps and doing more and trying to make strategies to be faster. around this time i came up with using Ether Renewal with a bunch of self enchants to spam Fuse. i guess you could say an original Emo, however we based it off Infuse health and not bonding. Vexing happened to be German i believe and we started to find people to do these with and 1 German suggested bonds and we came up with a build that was much like an Emo bonder however still, not the same as today's. I don't know who invented Emo at the time but I like to think myself, Vexing, and her German friends that i know no names of came up with the starting trials of it back in the summer of '07 or so. if emo existed beforehand, none of us knew it at least.
also someone mentioned 55'ing and Lady Poverty and that is great because I do remember that name! i never checked online for a build of how to farm because she showed me how to 55 in game back then! that is awesome that someone else mentioned her [or him idk. just remember that name as well and learning how to 55 Hydras lol]. Kudos.

I started during the E3 for everyone and I remember playing the start of post where the layout of seared Ascalon was different. If I'm remembering it correctly, the zone outside Ascalon city was a lot more angular with ramps instead of sloping ground. I also remembering having to go outside the gate and dropping items on the ground to do trades because it wasn't implemented yet. Some of the other cool stuff was having what I think was the devs hanging around in the city and having a gold aura. The other cool parts were playing through the shiverpeaks with a bone dragon boss and eventually getting to run through some of the unfinished magumma with some of the devs.
Demonic Sin Ex
solo desolation run (haze glitch) was discovered by me and a friend.

I find the mission so darn easy just heroing it.It is easier than those personal stories in GW2.
Hell Raising
Naphui Quarter.... The four boss mission in Factions, similar to ascension in Phophecies. Well, I believe me and a guy that went by the name Smite Bustah, were the first ever to solo and duo the mission. We would charge 15k a piece and we would do runs all night long.
