One can dream...

...and I had one today - ArenaNet releasing Guild Wars: Reborn. With updated graphics, new content (expansion) and bringing GW1 back to life!

Really miss the game, ever since GW2 release (which I quit after 1 month) I'm yet to find a good game that I'd be able to dedicate to and play for more than few hours.

R.I.P. GW1, R.I.P. MMORPGs.

Where Anet dropped the ball on GW2 with their ideas how Tyria should look like after 500 years (gw1 timeline).
And where Bethesda Studio's failed the TES fans with ESO.

Still one dream is closing in to become reality.

Honestly GW1 can come back as is and I'd be happy, no need for updated graphics, just want the playerbase and the support back

hmm, i dont think graphics should matter for GW now
many people back then had weak computers, and many people dont have the money to buy a new one every 6 months (like myself and many others i've seen)

nice to have a dream about the best MMORPG i have seen, none of the others have made me happier than GW ever did

my only dream in GW is updated ranger with pet and paragon with spear, plus new content like beyond stuff.... and hoping they learned from their mistakes in the past

my personal hope is that they make WiK and WoC able to stop spawning even if you just completed proph and/or eotn for WiK, and that "peace quest" to spawn normal enemies being enabled after only 1 quest, so we dont NEED to do it

i suck at WiK, so i wont complete eotn or proph anymore on other chars, getting help is hard (still, like back when it was new), and i just wanna get the eotn endgame death staves for my MM heroes on all chars

anyway, its fun to know someone would really dream about GW, if only i could dream about GW, haha

well, now off to work soon, and since i'm taking a break (mostly, sometimes logging on), i probably wont see much in GW, but the 10th anniversary was nice of em.... if only those greens had those buffs for always, not just at events (the event-only buffs)

++++++1 i want GW1 Back ..

I just played the NA version of Blade and Soul. Founders Pack buyers get to play the closed alphas and betas, then get a few days head start before launch.

Blade and Soul has some similarities to Guild Wars 2, but without the bitterness of not having a Guild Wars sequel. Really fun spammy combat system like a fighting game.

I'd gladly play a new Guild Wars, but most of the innovative and amazing staff that were there in the early days left Anet.

I miss all the friends from Guild Wars. The Guild Wars community was always fantastic and full of people willing to help, bond and have fun. The whole idea of team builds helped people come together due to cooperation and innovating together. Tinkering a little here and there, offering advice on builds and equipment. Working together to make a speed clear even faster.

It's a strange feeling not buying the new Guild Wars 2 expansion on release. GW2 ruined everything, imho. Entering the key to a new Guild Wars campaign was a magical feeling. Opening the map and the "Wow!" feeling when seeing all the new places to explore. My entire guild quit GW2 after only a few weeks, it was a really sad development.

Everybody can dream and wish. How about doing something instead? While in game in GW2, talk with friends about spending a weekend on GW1. Start with how ever many you can get and expand it from there. If everyone has a good time, then do it again and spread the word. Maybe, if there is enough regrowth on GW1, more attention would be paid to GW1. One can dream, right?

So, if you are serious about wanting GW1 back, bring it back.

I keep mentioning it in GW2 FB page.The only feature it needed added to it was an auction house.Then again you could just log in and sell stuff for say 30 to 40 min.I don't have the patients for doing this.
