I know somebody who paid 1450e for one, but he overpays for everything. A couple got sold like maybe 6-12 months ago for 750e tho. I wouldnt let one go for less than 1500e myself ^^

The world has gone mad. That should be a 500e sword.
But yeah, people overpay for everything these days. 1000-1500 is about right based on the last few sales of these.
Personally, I don't get it, as r7/16 -2-2 shields are 1500+ range too, but FAR rarer than r8+5e weapons (which can still drop today).
But if people want to overpay for relatively common items, then whaddyagunna do....

but saying the price should be less because req8+5's can still drop isn't a good argument either max
I broke over 1250 lockpicks on NM Chests in Pongmei / Undercity / Wajjuun Bazar (canthan chests) and I only got 1 req8 max sword....
The odds of getting a req8+5 sword nowadays for me is like getting a polar bear dropped.... 0,0something% chance

There never was any logic.. rarity never mattered much its all about demand
and to add here.. ive ran ~15k+ nm chests for q8s, and ive never got q8 sword drop even purple ;P

seems ive stoked a bit of a conversation! thanks for all the advice to far but i still dont rly know what this thing is worth other than somewhere between 100 and 1500e~ some consensus would be awesome :P

That's the point of the discussion... You won't get any consensus. Gone are the days when a certain item with certain stats could be accurately valued. It's worth whatever someone will pay for it. And in these days of easily obtained wealth, there are plenty of people who will pay too much for stuff. The economy is broken, and has been for a long time.
Just because one sold for 1500 recently, the next one may go higher, of sell for half the price. One thing that this conversation has highlighted is that there are a few of these around, meaning that it's easier to acquire one ...
The only way to know is to list it for sale and watch what happens.
