Question..(for SC people)

Does anyone know if enemy AI is capable of using Signet of Disruption on a person casting spells while under the effect of Shadow Form?

Or do they treat you as incapable of being casted at because of Shadow Form?

I'd really like to hear more about this, so if you know please share it below.

Casting of Sf is interrupted fairly regularly in speedclears. It's the main reason an experienced tank dies.

Under SF, Enemy spells that target you fail, but signets aren't spells.... So I would say that Signet of Disruption should work, even with SF up.

In underworld Mindblade Spectres use leech signet and may rupt sf, so the answer to your question is yes, they rupt with signets. In hard mode , in some dungeons, they can rupt SF too with magebane.

Thanks nove, thats exactly what I was looking for to know : That even with SF (coding) they still know how to bypass the effect with signets...

Iv done some research into farming that quest.
The only two concerns were : Shatter Assault (dual attack removes ench), and the skill Signet of Disruption..

Trapping ranger with the skill "Shadow of Haste" seems now the only way to have a success rating (SoS is obsolete, you need true spike damage, or total immunity to interuptions / blinding or blocking Lead and Dual attacks.)

And these were my concerns regarding to farm that specific quest. (Corsair, Dwarven and War in Kryta mobs in a OS loot table setting).


Edit : The only other build I can think of that just may have a chance then, is assassin mesmer with :

Shadow Form, Shroud of Distress, Channeling, Mantra of Concentration, Mental Block, Unseen Fury, Wastrels "I Am Unstoppable", Wastrels Demise

Though this way, every run should require an Essence of Celerity.. and that may just be really expensive for serval runs without knowing if those mobs will drop OS versions of Nightfall skins.

mantra of resolve + mantra of earth + stone striker + obsidian flesh + armor of earth, + silver armor + Stone Daggers + 1 optional skill

Im pretty sure that wont work, you need some Form of regeneration to counter degen (bleed dissease), and block & blind(blocking lead attacks and dual attacks).

Only the Jade Brotherhood Assassin is the most primaire target that has die either die first, or be CC'd first (Throw Dirt, Mental Block, Whirling Defense, Shroud of Distress)

But since they are smart enough to rupt through shadowform with Signet of Disruption, means you definately need anti rupt..
And thus Ranger / Derv primairies are out the window.

I think either Assassin Mesmer is the way to go, or be so very nifty trapper ranger that can break aggro.
Not sure a terra ele will do, unless it has a blind for the Jade Brotherhood Assassin, or anti rupt versus Jade Brotherhood Mesmers.

Finding a good combination of both seems to be very hard :/

You could try either

http://guildwiki.gamepedia.com/Mantra_of_Concentration (one shot interruption protection. Theoretically Doesnt work if 2 or more Foes with Signets are against you).

The other thing is, both clash with Deadly paradox on the Permasin (without the Celerity, which would be really expensive for a theoretical chance of maybe getting a nice drop).

It could be made to work with the Ele Obsyflesh farmer, but would need a careful balance with Mantra of Earth (Luckily Mantra of Earth recharges faster), so that it should be able to go up again after casting Obsyflesh.
