Is there still a market for either type of miniature or is it only for the rare undedicated stuff?

Dedicated minis are worthless except for the limited quantity ones. It's possible you might be able to get a few k for a desirable dedicated birthday mini but it's not worth the effort.
There's demand for undedicated minis of all kinds as there are still plenty of people who haven't gotten enough for whatever reason. Generally speaking, for birthday minis whites are 1-3k and purples are 1-5k (though there are a number of people who prefer to give these ones away). Golds and greens are both rarer and specifically needed for the HoM so will cost a fair bit more.
