We should all migrate from Kamadan to Shing Jea Monastery because SJM is the most op town of all time. Repair the ruins of SJM, bring back the legends. It will rise out of the ashes of its greatness and become greater than ever before!
We must save SJM before it's too late!
Restore SJM!

that wont happen for a bunch of reasons, the number one being that kamadan is the easiest place to get to (and start a new character). Shing jea offers nothing, you cant get there easily (from other chapters) and you cant get to other chapters (prophecies, factions or eye--or even embark beach/great temple) from there without having to run thru the rest of the island (with a new character). Its not even the place to leave factions from --thats Kaineng, so it doesnt even have that going for it.
Kamadan is the big port city in nightfall so its by far the easiest to get to and from, Lions arch even though it is still a goodly distance in from the beginning of prophecies, would be the second choice way before shing jea or even kaineng. As well as Kamadan being the starting city for new nightfall characters (and an easy taxi off of that island as well)--that just cant be done in Shing jea.
So while Shing Jea is a much prettier place (and does have a bunch of festivals) it wont replace Kamadan. (and yes I think Shing jea was a really nice starting area--very beautiful, but a pain in the butt place to start a character).
