Krytan Axes

Hello!

I got this today from an unkeyed FoW chest (HM), I remember something about Krytan Axes but I don't know whether this applies to purple ones. Wiki wasn't of much help either.

Anyway here is a screenshot.


Also, could someone explain to me what is up with Krytan Axes in general?

krytan axes (the name) are pretty rare as purples.... and super rare as golds
the mod u got is crap tho.

krytan axes are just like crystas: the skin won´t drop gold anywhere anymore, yet it is possible to get them from the keyless chests: HoH, SF (during Kilroy quest), and the keyless FoW/UW
Yet I feel the Krytan Axe is a) far less known or sought after or b) far rarer - as they rarely pop up even as purples
For a price I´d say 5-10e sounds reasonable - at least it´s a nice round number unlike some 17<50 or w/e - I feel some ppl prefer those^^

Just personal note. i though krytans dont even drop Purpl anymore,as well as understood neither does swamp clubs? Both are old removed skins. Just wondering if the chests also drops swamps just super duper low chance? Since i havent heard anyone getting krytan either in years so im guessing changes are quite low compared to crysta/dwaven/serpent

agreeing with the above pcs. paid 25e for q11 13^stance one myself, but that was around a year ago iirc.

they do seem to be a lot rarer than purple crystas, while having found 15+ purple crystas in sf and similar amounts of dwarven axes and hammers, i only got 2 krytan axes (just one of them max dmg).
another reason why they are rarer could also be that people who do find them just merch them because they don't know about the rarity and see it as a common skin (hand axe).

No skin dropping is rarer than the other if they come from the same chest, guild wars chests aren't biased, however chests in different campaigns have different chances due to the amount of possibilities. Eg. Proph chests drop core skins + specific items that surround the area, Factions chests drops core skins from the campaign + core skins + specific items that surround the area and so on, this is why in factions the items such as jugs, paper fans, dragons, bo's, platinums(these are all core skins in the faction campaign) + shit loads more are harder to find because they compete with core skins + the specific skin from the mob it is surrounded by, they all have an equal chance of dropping.

What i am trying to say is that this applies to keyless chests, everything has an equal chance of dropping and krytan's in purple form aren't harder or easier to get than a crystalline or any other skin that is still available in proph + core.
