Simple.
Talk to Necromancer Mune in the Catacombs in pre searing. Get the "Remembering the Spirits" quest. She will give you 4 candles. To get more, drop the ones you currently have then ask her about the quest. She will give you more candles. Rinse and repeat :P Pick up all the candles on the floor when you're done.

Even better, the Rememberance quest is not class-specific. I've done it with all my characters, but I never 'farmed' candles. I wish you could leave things lying around your guild hall. I'd have all kinds of "art".

With respect to the GvG comment: Can you walk right through the candles, or do they act like the spirits do, where can you have to walk around them, because if that is the case, then you can use those candles as a convenient path blocking technique.

Ah that's interesting that you can weild a weapon during the tour. It's been so long since I've done that task that I forgot the details.
