Everytime I see one of those screenshots, like the ones Indian and Carinae posted, I suddenly get very depressed. I mean, I'm nothing compared to that, and that really depresses me. I get inferiority complexes easily

It takes more power to turn an appliance on and off than to leave it on continually, but at that extent... not too bad most likely still.
