Listing of Missions from begginning to end

Was wondering if anyone had a compilation of the listing of Missions starting from the easiest/beginning (The Great Wall mission I think) to the last/finishing missions (Ascension) and in generally which order they are tackled. Kinda wanted to know how much longer I have and how many more missions. I would think leaving out or including travel necessities (quests) would be optional, just having the knowledge that you have to travel would be enough. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any list, but you can tell which one is next in the series by looking at your map - the shield which is glimmering is the next one to do to follow the storyline.

Yeah, I am not having a problem with that personally, but I'm sure some are and I am also sure that that will help them. I am looking for a list that you can look at and say, "I am at Sanctum Cay right now. It looks like I have 4 more missions until Ascension." That kind of thing.

The problem with any such list is that missions are optional. You don't have to do any of them, really, except the ascention ones, and you can bypass any of them at any time by running around in Explorable Areas. For example, I commonly skip Aurora Glade and go straight to Denravi from the Bloodstone. And there are three Ascention missions that can be done in any order you like. So there's no set progression to follow, it's up to you.

Still, if you want to know all the missions, here they are in rough order:
***Ascalon***
-Great Northern Wall
-Fort Ranik
-Ruins of Surmia
-Nolani Academy
***N.Shiverpeaks***
-Borlis Pass
-The Frost Gate
***Kryta***
-Gates of Kryta
-D'Alesso Seaboard
-Divinity Coast
***Jungle***
-The Wilds
-Bloodstone Fen
-Aurora Glade
-Riverside Province
-Sanctum Clay
***Desert***
-Dunes of Despair
-Thirsty River
-Elona's Reach
***Ascention***
***S.Shiverpeaks***
-Ice Caves of Sorrow
-Thunderhead Keep
-Iron Mines of Moladune
***Fire Islands***
-Adandon's Mouth
-Ring of Fire
-Hell's Precipice
***Tombs***
-Dragon's Lair

That's all the ones I know about and it doesn't include the various outposts you'll be dumped into nor the EAs you'll need to raverse to get to the next mission and so on.

I'm still trying to find how to skip from Santum Cay to the desert without the mission. I'm waiting for friends to catch up, so I don't want to do the mission, but I do wish to explore the desert. Am I missing something obvious on how to get there?

The desert I don't think you can get to without completing Sanctum (Okay, I was exagerating when I said you could skip over *every* mission). At least, I've never found a way. You can get to the area beyond the desert, the Southern Shiverpeaks by heading sout from, appropriately enough, the Northern Shiverpeaks. It might be possible to get from the lower mountains to the desert, but if there is I'm unaware of it.

Amnoon Oasis passage is purely through the end of Sanctum Cay, there is no direct path to the Deserts even from using the Southern Shiverpeaks, and if you aren't ascended then good luck doing much there.

Cool, that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks.

Yah you can skip the missions but it is pointless because most of them dump you off closer and closeer to new skill trainers each time. Really the easiest way to get new skills with every character.

Another listing (it's a paste from a textfile i use to keep track of what missions i completed +/- bonus). The three ascension missions can be done in whatever order you want (although the text assigned to the three ghosts is wrong, they react to the wrong missions). I counted ascension as a mission, so it adds up to a total of 25 missions.

|Mission I | The Great Northern Wall
|Mission II | Fort Ranik
|Mission III | Ruins of Surmia
|Mission IV | Nolani Academy
|Mission V | Borlis Pass
|Mission VI | The Frost Gate
|Mission VII | Gates of Kryta
|Mission VIII | D'Alessio Seaboard
|Mission IX | Divinity Coast
|Mission X | The Wilds
|Mission XI | Bloodstone Fen
|Mission XII | Aurora Glade
|Mission XIII | Riverside Province
|Mission XIV | Sanctum Cay
|Mission XV | Elona Reach
|Mission XVI | Thirsty River
|Mission XVII | Dunes of Despair
|Mission XVIII | Augury Rock (Ascension)
|Mission XIX | The Dragon's Lair
|Mission XX | Ice Caves of Sorrow
|Mission XXI | Iron Mines of Moladune
|Mission XXII | Thunderhead Keep
|Mission XXIII | Ring of Fire
|Mission XXIV | Abbadon's Mouth
|Mission XXV | Hell's Precipice

There's 9 missions you actually have to do, in order to proceed (= see the end-cinematic and have access to all areas).

Sanctum Cay (to get to the desert)
Elona Reach/Thirsty River/Dunes of Despair (to get to ascension)
Ascension (to get to The Dragon's Lair - and the Tomb in the desert)
Thunderhead Keep (to get to the Ring of Fire Island Chain)
Ring of Fire (to get to Abbadons Mouth)
Abbadon's Mouth (to get to Hell's Precipice)
Hell's Precipice (to see the final cinematic)

Everything else can be done by exploring, though the most commons are probably: Walking to Nolani Academy (doing the mission) => Walking from Yak's Bend to Gates of Kryta (doing the mission) => Walking from Lion's Arch to Sanctum Cay (the most effective way. Just get from LA to Bergen Hot Springs, take a team to the Temple of Ages and have a full team of lvl 15 henchies to get to Sanctum Cay - you skip 6 missions and save alot of time). Once in Sanctum Cay, you can't do any walking anymore. Though it is possible to walk from Beacon's Perch (the outpost you get to after Frost Gate) right through one billion lvl 24 mobs to Thunderhead Keep. But it's not really time-effective

The shortest way to the final mission is actually way shorter.
Only 4 missions long:

Walk to Thunderhead keep through Lornar's Pass
Thunderhead Keep (to get to the Ring of Fire Island Chain)
Ring of Fire (to get to Abbadons Mouth)
Abbadon's Mouth (to get to Hell's Precipice)
Hell's Precipice (to see the final cinematic)

Though Lornar's Pass is a bitch.

I am looking for any info on the secondary missions. I need to complete a couple of them and I have no idea where to find the person or however you receive the mission objective and where to complete it. Anyone steer me toward a link with that info or tell me? Thanks. The specific ones I have not completed the secdonary one are the following:

D'Alessio Seaboard
Divinity Coast
Aurora Glade
Riverside province
Sanctum Cay
Elona Reach
Thirsty River
and Dunes of Dispair

Thanks, again these are the only ones I need THE SECONDARY for and the info that would be helpful is:

Where to receive the commission for the quest and what the quest is.

D'Alessio Seaboard

Save a guy in the town, and make his brother north of town open a gate, to find a thing that must be taken to a pedestal.

Divinity Coast

Save 5 chosen and take them to Lionguard Minah.

Aurora Glade

Save a warrior called "xxx Longbow" or something, and when it's time to attune the portal, don't instead keep 2 of the portal as yours, while your team kills all the white mantel.

I've gone everywhere on the map and killed every red dot, including the drakes, but I keep coming up with only 4. One at the eye, one that gives you the bonus, one at the merchants, and one guarded by the ettins to the left. Never saw any by the drakes or any of the undead stuff. What am I missing?

The 5 chosen is:

1. In the starting village
2. Across the bridge, quest giver
3. South of the quest giver
4. The one south of the village
5. The one in the village
