Do you need a life??

I'm like the OP. Married, friends, work full time. I average maybe 2 hours a day if I'm lucky and I don't play every day. Over all on my four characters since May 05 I have logged a little over 500 hours I think. I do missions and farm a bit as well as help out my friends with missions they are stuck on and what not. I'm pretty casual.

I don't use TS (much to some people's anger) because that probably would annoy the wife. "Your talking to them more then to me"

I play this stupid addictive game all of the time basicly and i dont know anyone as hardcore as me

I'm going to go with the total hours for 2 accounts and all characters as that is a closer reflection of the average time per day played. To keep these numbers in perspective, deduct 3 - 4 hours per day for sleep, 2 hours for commute from/to work, approximately 8.5 - 9 hrs at work(on weekdays), and Saturdays for the family(Yes, I'm married, work and have kids - don't want friends locally so they don't factor in).

Without further ado, here are the numbers for 2 accounts:
Acct. #1 = 1338 hrs 54 min over 8 months - 2 char complete all missions, only SF/Titans quests - not considering doing FoW/UW
Acct. #2 = 1016 hrs 33 min over 8 months - 1 char complete all missions, only SF/Titans quests

Total: 2355 hrs 45 min over 8 months = approximately 9.8 hrs per day.

I love it, and yes, I have it installed at work too.

Seriously though, it'd be scary to see what that ratio comes out to look like, but i'll check it and edit this post when I get home.

Ive got like 300 hrs over 4 months I got all my characters to lvl 20 and their 15k amour, weapons all that stuff. I used to play almoast all day in the weekend but the holidays are coming to an end and guildwars has become boring so im lucky to do 5 hours a week nowdays.

I averaged about five hours a day during the summer, but now its back down to one or two. I'd have to check to know for sure. I'll go do that now...

Geez, for the hard-core members there, that's 6 + 7 = 13 hours a day... It's like a freakin' job even if those working only does the evening sessions...

Err... I would guess these guys probably qualify for the "YES" answer in terms of the OP...

Got 3 lvl 20's, all of them have completed the story except one. I don't know how many hours total but I play at least 1-4 hours a day. Sometimes I only come on to see who's on and then leave. If my friends asked me to go somewhere with them or hang out then sure I will, but since I'm watching my brother and he's autistic, it's hard to have fun sometimes. So, mostly I just stay in the house.

You have played this [pvp] character for 1 hour 55 minutes over the past 0 days. So I play GW an average of infinite hours a day. Scary.

Seriously though, I don't really want to know how much time I've wasted. But I do still love the game after 849 hours playing.

What exactly is insane about that, probably a good 1/6 to 1/5 of that time as been spent chatting with the many friends I've made in-game, and some of it is just idle time, though that probably doesn't exceed 100 hours.

We all have ideas of fun, and personally I think the world sucks and I'd rather not deal with it.

As for the Koreans, for most of the competitive ones it is a job.

i got no life when i get from school i play guild wars then sleep then repeat the process ya the only problem is most of the time im just in tombs d1 sitting by a henchmen since no one wants to play with me yay

I have been playing for 15 minutes a day for the last 8 months, I have 4 ascended characters, which I never farm with at all. I have over 1000 ectos in storage and over 75 mil in l33t items. Guess thats about average.

Ok I have to ask...only 15 minutes a day (average I know) for the last 8 months and you don't farm....yet you have over 1000 ectos in storage?

I have a very time consuming job, a girlfriend and a cat . all this leaves me with very little time for Guild Wars. most days I don't log on at all. occasionally I find a gap in my schedule and play for 2-3, maximum 4 hours. this doesn't happen more than twice a week though.

I have had this game for 7 months, and have played for 2 weeks, 5 days and 3 hours across all characters. I have 3 Level 20's, one of which is at ring of fire and the other which two are at thunderhead keep. I also have a new monk which is at level 5 right now.

I speand a lot of time farming and i have a runner which i do small runs with, The biggest run i can make is from ascalon city to lions arch (with all stops) and I help my guild members quite a bit.

Almost 3 weeks of sitting in front of this computer playing this seems like a lot to me, But i go to school, speand time with my b/f and friends, do a lot of work around the house and have a part time job. So i think i balance my time pretty well.

about 750 over 7 months for me.

... as I have about 800 hours in the last 6 months. BUT, i'm more AFK than actually playing. I leave myself logged in and sitting in Grotto / LA / Augury / Droks all the time, while im watching TV or out running errands. With that being said, I don't really know how much time i devote to GW.

1676 hours over 8 months. Roughly 7 hours per day.

Factor in that I have a family and spend free time with my daughter until she goes to bed, and that average is probably closer to 3-5 hours per day of actual playtime.

The other hours are logged slumped over in my chair because I stayed up too late playing or because I forgot to turn the game off before going to bed.

I consider it 1450 hours of constructive research into a career of designing video games... ahhh the dream. One day, one day...
