That silly henchman monk is almost ALWAYS the first to die. How many times have I seen that twit run out front of on-coming critters and then draw ago from me (the warrior/monk). Really is a good thing I keep healing breaze and rez sig up when I solo a mission with her and the ranger.

I would put lag and people leaving during a hard mission/quest in the top 10

I've got a 3.4 processor, 1 gig ram, and a x800 graphic card and I hit invisible walls. Like if you run too close to a tree or broken stair case you port on the other side of it or soemthing.

And you don't defend her? If you do, it is team vs team as I stated. If not, your I is worse than the monster AI.

Ummm... at what point is making the AI mobs smart enough to actually go for the priority targets first, rather than just stupidly banging away at a tank while the tank is healed a bad idea?

This is what is used in PvP... this and more tactics, so you might as well get used to it, since the mobs nowuse them too, including mob healers actually healing their allies as well. They even hit me with a backfire spell in combo with an interrupt spell, while his buddy smacked me with a skill delay recharge spell. They hit me good, and I thought... good idea. SO now I keep all 3 of those spells on me as well. When was the last time YOU learned some neat trick from a mob in a game?

I like the smart AI (even though at specific times it does act a bit silly)... keeps me honest and on my toes.

First off to assume that all the invites are from the same person is incorrect!
Second, that's what the reject button is for.
Third why do you have to be asked 1st? What are you so special? Are you better than everyone less? Not.

The rudeness is on your part. I believe you should think it a honor that someone invited you. You're complaining because people are inviting you and if they weren't you be in here complaining about that. GAG (get a grip).

There is nothing rude about inviting someone you've not chatted with before hand and nothing rude about rejecting the invite. Certainly beats the SPAMMING on the all channel with LFG messages. And has NO effect on game play or group forming.

Use the reject button that's what it's there for!

My guild uses Alesia when we only have one human monk and we normally have only 2 problems with her:

1) She should not rez if anyone left alive can rez. She can cause massive DP

2) Not her fault but sometimes when she is attacked she will run away and it can be tricky to tie down the chaser.

I've never seen her tank, but I have noticed the NPC's will try to stay close to player characters. Do you have a well balanced team with a human that is not a warrior? Is she tanking when she is travelling only with warriors?

Also the creatures do not always go after the healer. Some will seek out the lowest level/weakest armor character and there is a good chance that will be a monk, but I watched a mesmer get pretty upset becase he was way in the back, didn't attack anything and things running after him looked like linebackers avoiding blockers on the football field when they chased him down...

..Sometimes they are, I've had instances when this has happened, I've rejected and they just do it again..

It's nice if someone tells you what they're planning on doing before they invite you..for instance, you've done a specific quest, they are just leaving for the same one and decide to invite you..you are dragged into a pointless quest, or you can just leave and mess up their group.

Personally..I would never party with someone who didn't ask me first.


I am getting a little (Okay, maybe very) annoyed with the constant stream of "This game has too much grind, we want everything unlocked for PvP right from the beginning..and we're going to spam these boards until we get it!!11!" posts which have been emerging recently.

Rude is people who leave the group in game because either they got the quest item or they got tired of trying to make it to the next town. Then your group that was 6 or 8 is left high and dry. However, more often than not, the remaining team does make it....well except for that quest item thing because it doesn't drop for all members of the group.

Having multiple invites that I don't want pales in comparison to that. Not to mention, if the group is going on a quest I don't want to do because I've done it. I leave the group before the group leaves. I always blind invite because....I'm reading the LFG messages to make sure I pick people who are looking to do what I want to. On occasion I'm looking for a skill set missing in the team that is needed for a mission/quest and I will invite before asking. I expect that you'll reject if you ain't interested. And when the tables are turned and I'm getting blind invites, I just hit reject and never assume that person was being rude. It's just part of the game.

And the people leaving in game is tied with my other number one annoyance which would be a team goes on a quest and the quest item drops for 1 person. Then the process has to be completed for all the other members, that is if they all stick around. Not everyone is so willing to help those who just helped them get what they wanted. And people who don't want to help the others after they have been helped....well that is just plain rude AND selfish.

Coming from CoH (still playing it) Things that are "Annoying":

* When you receive a tell or the team chat there is no sound indicator that anyone said anything. I've missed entire conversations because of this.

* No real effective way to form up a party except by sending out blind invites or spamming LFG (CoH seek team is excellent, tells you the zone, level, archtype, notes from player, types of missions they are looking for)

* Inviting a team member, you have to have line of sight, click them, then click the + to invite, many times they don't even see that they received an invite. love to have a /command to /invite <insert players name>

* have to be in same zone to invite

* no way of knowing what quests your team mates have unless you ask. Have the team leader select the quest from everyone's list and then it splats the waypoint on the screen. So much easier to coordinate a hunt.

* my final beef, your selling or trading and someone in your party zones >_<

I don't really get mad very easily so I don't really concern myself with the majority of the problems you've posted here, I don't really care if someone invites me to a party, it happens all the time to me, and never once has someone called me rude when I rejected it. And if they did...so? I do what I need to do in a town and then move out, why should that be a complaint at all? I find it no more annoying than Prince Rurik's "You are a pox on this land and I am the cure" or whatever the hell he says, no big deal.

The NPCs though, I personally ADORE the henchmen. The only problem I have every now and then is the fighter henchman will just run off and attack someone if they're not within the rest of the groups range or if nobody is targeting them, but that's not a huge deal in itself and I don't use him all that much. I don't ever have problems with the healer, in fact I trust Alesia more than I do most actual people, she's pretty quick on the draw with those healing spells when I need them. Also, I like getting all the drops. But above all...

HENCHMEN WILL NOT DITCH YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF A QUEST

I can't count the endless occasions where this has happened, we'll be coming up to the final few fights before we complete the quest and all of a sudden our healer, or some other guy just says "Sorry, g2g, bye", and leaves without another word, leaving his or her party in the dust unable to complete it. And that matters a lot in the earlier missions. And it's really bad when others then get bored of the mission and say "I think I'm going to go too, bye." *Exit*.

Henchmen will stick with you as long as you want them to stick with you, not ditch you like a bunch of wangtards. Also, I enjoy using teamspeak and/or ventrilo when I play with real people, and henchmen don't yell "That is such BULLSHIT" when they die, they just die and get resurrected. I hate it when people complain, henchmen are the best thing to happen to any sort of "MMORPG" if you can call this game that exactly, I love 'em. They allow for people who can't find "that last guy" to just go anyway, and people like me who don't like people leaving in the middle of quests to complete the game anyways.

One of my guildies I didn't know well said he had a Major Blood Rune.
I asked him of the health decrease on it, and he answered.
Fine I thought.
Then I said, so he didn't think I would buy it, that I couldn't afford it (refering to the latest topic: the health decrease).
He asked my what I would pay for the rune.
I repeated.
He said it was only 1.5k.
I clarified: I can't afford the health thing.
He said a minor vigor rune is only 500g.
I said I couldn't afford the health decrease.
He said if I would buy a minor vigor rune off him.
I said I never wanted to buy any of his runes, and that he should stop bugging me, I was doing a mission.
He said that I should have said I didn't want to buy it, but I said I never said I wanted to buy his runes, and I only asked what the health decrease on a major rune was.
He said that I should stop wasting HIS time

That's how annoying people can be when worst.

Henchmen may not be perfect, but is there any doubt the game would be worse without them? I love them for many of the same reasons other posters on this thread have stated.

That is why the #1 most annoying thing in this game for me is infused armor. What a lame way to make all henchmen useless after Droknar's Forge. I want my henchies back

um.... why dont you just type their name inside the invite box and click +? its actually very easy ::does it all the time::

Certain builds ARE better than others. This may not be the intent of the designers, and may be due to skill imbalance, but no some builds simply are better than others.

Try telling me this build works better for ANY aspect of the game:

this is taking it to the extreme somewhat...but it illustrates some points quite well. Some other examples:

why would you use rodgort's invocation when fireball is AoE too, has 10 less energy cost and 5 seconds faster recharge. Same damage but invocation burns for a whopping 1-3 seconds >.>

why would you use flare when conjure flame and a good wand does slightly more damage and has an energy duty 17 times lower?

Sure I mean I know your main point here is that people should not be rude about builds, and there is a lot of elitism going on over this. I don't mean to be picking on you but I have seen a lot of misunderstanding fly around these forums after the game's launch as to be expected. Also I've seen people like Ensign virtually disappear...I wonder which 1337 corner they've migrated to now...in any case, to imply that no build is better than another one is simplay naive

Well I'm glad you're optimistic about getting invites. Personally IMO it's still better to be asked rather than just invited. A prime example is if I'm working on a quest or trying to do something and people invite you then you decline or don't accept 9 out of 10 times people start talking **** because you didn't party. <--- My point exactly. Now because we are busy doing something or didn't get asked some moron complain to whole world about how you are an ***hole. It would be one thing if the younger community thought like you did and just moved on. But it seems when I started a new character I found more rude people than anything. I'm not against helping groups or people at all. But I like to know what I'm getting into before offering help especially if it's time consuming so I don't start helping then have to log.

As for spamming I already said they should have an aution house to sell weapons,armors,crafting materials and break it down that way even farther weapons-->Swords-->Axes--->etc. It reduces 98% of spamming I have this for sale or I want to buy this.

Well no it is not really naive of me to imply one build isn't better than another. I know well and good that certain builds work better for certain things. And you restated my point that the "self proclaimed" Elitists try to criticize people for their builds. I prefer certain builds and skills over others. I do agree that there are some builds I would choose cause it works better. But my point remains that just because it works better for me that it may not work for Smokey the Bear. We all dont like the same things.

I've played these games for and find that in every game certain builds work (some better than others). Obviously if you want instant kills for solo farming you would build your character one way, but if you wanted someone for support kinda like debuffing and enchanting you'd build it different. Now tell me which is better? It's all preference. I personally like doing massive damage, but there are people who like doing the debuffing/buffing/enchanting side. Both jobs are useful but people fail to see this. Elitists come in every game, my hope was that some of the smarter ones would read this and realize they should shut their hole and let people enjoy the game. After all that's all this is, just a game.

actually you guys are all missing the biggest annoying thing on GW. The faces dont move durring the movies. Its so annoying when looking at prince Rurik and the voice is talking but his lips arnt moving. I mean what are all the dev's ventriliquits and thought it'd be funny? What about about when Rurik blows the stormcaller, and it starts to trickle? Have you ever seen a trickle put out a fire? I want a downpore!! Floods. Torrents of rain...

Actually minor annoyances are an occurance for every game. My intentions here were to post mine, see what other people felt annoyed them, and laugh about it. In a perfect world we'd all have what we want. We always find flaws in games, but its just a game. It's just good to chit chat and find things that we could bring up to dev's to try and change.... like gettign a freakin AH to reduce major spams *rofl*
