Will New Classes Be Able To Be Used As "core" Class Secondary's?
lord pun|shment
has this been mentioned....or even discussed......? if so could somebody please point me in the right direction
Trouveur
Yes. You will be able to choose any of the 8 classes as a secondary for your characters, as long as you own Factions.
BigTru
I don't think that is what he means...
I think he means how Factions only players get to have the 6 "core classes" and use them as primary or secondary classes, but only get their "core skills".
What he is asking is if chapter 1 only players get to use Assassin and Ritualists as primary or secondary classes but only get their "core skills".

ok lemmie explain better........
will i be able to change my "current" chapter 1 character's seconday to one of the new classes (*providing i've bought the chapter of course)
for example:-
can i make my Nec/Mes into a Nec/Ritualist by visiting a NPC similar to the ones in desert.......
quest etc to unlock allow the change.......
-----------------
so i take it this has not been mentioned?

Yes only you'll have to do the quest for assassin and ritualist in Canthra not the desert. And it looks like the passage through to Canthra is through Mineral Springs at the ice caves. There's a teleporter opening there now I hadn't seen before so I suspect that's going to be how First Edition players cross over into the 2nd Edition and vice versa.

yeah i expected it wouldnt be in the desert, but its good that we can change.
cheers

Cantha is located way south of the desert, personally I suspect (since there is atlease one Canthan npc in LA already) there will be a ship from LA that can be taken, strictly a guess, just seems logical.

Its a co-operative mission activated in LA that gets you to Cantha.. this was mentioned in one of the interviews already
Red Sonya
Well I said it looks like now did I say definitely going to be out of Mineral Springs? No I did not. I merely gave my opinion of that teleportal in the cave which leads to nowhere and one would suspect it's going to lead to somewhere if not the 2nd chapter then maybe the 3rd or 4th or 100th.
I wouldn't have thought they would have made it yet another so easy to get to Canthra out of LA. Once again opening a "running" mission to rush the content. Geesh. Make people go through Mineral Springs that will be better.

The glowy things in the cave are beacons. Much like the thing that was used by the Charr in the Searing. I've also been told it looks like the Deldrimore beacons in the Southern Shiverpeaks too.

Mabey it was the Seer's spaceship to ge to Tyria

Something tells me that a ship from LA would have trouble going through a sea of pure jade . Unless of course they have one of those big walking ships......anywho....
David Lionmaster
i bet we will get there through lions arch. lions arch seems to be the most importaint city for everything, such as special events and stuff. plus its a port city, so we can take ships to places.
Ubernoob
Why not have lots of different ways to get there? I mean having just one route that leads to one place in Cantha is kinda boring.... But I do remember talking to an npc in LA who talks about his homeland of merchants in the south... Mabye you go with him?
EternalTempest
I'm going to also assume that chapter 1 & 2 owners will be able to flip from the two different major maps for instant warp once you get to the 1st town/outpost/city in Cantha. LA seems like a logical place.
