Avatar's in GW
Shut Your Mouth
Ok Am I the only one to notice that there are Avatar's for each Profession except Elementalist! Now it would make since that the avatar's in ToA will be path's to new areas in GW. Such as UW/FoW. Weve been given a hint of a story line involving a murder 200yrs old maybe the elementalist avatar did it and was imprisoned! Makes you go Hmmmmm?

Melandru = Earth Ele
Dwayna = Air Ele
Balthazar = Fire Ele
And even though the manual doesn't say it, I'm pretty sure Grenth = Water Ele...

The manual clearly states Balthazar is worshipped by warriors AND ELEMENTALISTS
and it doesn't make me go hmmmmmm it makes me go "huh?"

Geez howcome the ele has to share? They should get one of their own! Just because the other classes are jelous that we can make big shiny explosions...

don't be jealous of Lyssa and all her lovers...be happy to be part of all other statues

The only Balthazar skills in the game all belong to the Monk, right? Yet, Balthazar is for Warriors and Elementalists?
Sagius Truthbarron
Many of the characters who give Elementalist quests say that Elementalists don't limit themselves to one 'god', but rather seek knowledge in all of them. What does it matter, though? Are you really worshipping them or something? Why do you need an Elementalist god? They're only there for the world's lore.. You don't make much since here.

Guess I'm just slow. I always associated Grenth/Necro, Dwayna/Monk, Lyssa/Mes, Melandru/Ranger, Balthazar/Warrior. I realize the crossover with some Avatar's/professions. Just an oddity 6 profession's 5 avatar's. Made since to me that this could be a lead to the new storyline developing for GW: Faction's!

And by the way I really don't pay that much attention to the avatar's/lore in games. It was just an observation, and I appreciate the input.
Thx
Thx

Balthazar is smiting, warrior and fire element. Holy dmg is related to fire, in that zealot's fire deals fire damage and holy staves deal fire damage
Malchior Devenholm
ah...indeed vilaptica...i knew the eles of good heart served dwayna, i didn't see it divided by element, that makes perfect sense
Loch
Elementalists heil to many gods, and this is reflected by the fact that their attribute lines make them extremely versatile. Nuking against single targets with or without Damage or Time and armor penetration, debuffing physical attackers, protecting oneself and the team, snaring foes, and knocking them down. Yep, a class that can do so much would not be suited well by a single deity.

Rodgort is Trogdor backwards.
Grimm
Elementalists have access to four different elements, and each element has a patron god/godess.
Balthazar is associated with fire.
Dwayna is associated with air.
Melandru is associated with earth.
Grenth is associated with cold (and thus water, since water magic uses cold).
Simple enough for those who read that little book that comes with the game.

Warrior skills in general are Balthazar skills. The warriors just don't feel the need to say his name over and over like the monks.

whats the avatar for assasin and ritualist???
Vilaptca
Maybe a new Canthan god?
Bastard Son
BTW awesome nod to Homestar Runner (and Trogdor in particular) with the Rodgort thing. Nice!
ColaManiac
btw... do you think they make new avatars caus of ritualist and assassin?...
Silent
I wouldn't think so since the original Gods created Tyria, unless of course there's some ancient forgotten tomes detailing other Gods that just happened to slip out of circulation and were miraculously found in Cantha....hmm..., Btw I just realised there was a God called Lyssa. Why are there no avatars of her in places like ToA?

I was referring to the avatar's in ToA and throughout the game. This all started with a simple observation that there was not one specifically for Ele's.
And how it might play to a storyline link for CH.2 of GW.
Silent
Are you sure Lyssa has a statue in ToA? I've only seen four, balthazar, dwayna, melandru and grenth. Maybe I should look harder?
