Question on Runes(pretty basic please help me)

Hey guys,

My question is pretty basic did a search not really finding out what I need.

Say I am an elementalist. And I get superior runes of water magic, energy storage, and the superior vigor(hp one). I apply these 3 runes to a piece of armor. I still have 2 pieces of armor left without a rune applied to them.

Does this mean I can then buy a minor rune of water magic, energy storage, or vigor and apply them to the remaining two pieces of armor?

I am just confused on whether I can stack a superior and a minor of the same thing?(example: superior water magic on legs and minor water magic on gloves)

I am sorry if this is confusing but does anyone know what I am trying to say here?

I believe you can, as long as you are not applying the runes to the SAME piece of equipment. I have an axe that I applied a rune of axe mastery to as well as bracers that I applied a second rune too, so I see no difference in when you are trying to do. It should work.

runes of the same attribute do not stack. you will only see the effect of the rune with the greatest bonus.

it is generally not reccommended to have multiple superior runes. each one deducts 75 from your total health while you could only use one superior vigor, which adds 50. for more information check out Rune Listing.

ok so what about the remaining 2 pieces of equipment, just sit there? Well if there is only 3 that a person can really use, 150 hp decrease + 50 hp from vigor = a 100hp loss. That wouldnt be worth the +3 to the attributes? you're saying focus my superior rune on what i want to be the biggest improvement(water or energy), and get a minor one for the other attribute to minimize hp loss? And then get a superior vigor to technically make it only a 25 hp loss? You recommending that or trying to say something else?

Is there a rune listing for weapons anywhere?
The rune listing here is just a basic guide to armour runes.

THAT is correct and IS what is recommended.

Except of course that you can use a rune of ANY of your primary abilities (which for elementalists, can be up to 5), not to mention the other support runes like Vigor. (Still one rune in each piece, of course).

so what ill do is just use superior rune for water magic, minor rune for energy storage, and superior rune of vigor.

Although I still dont know which route to take(fire, water, or air) =/. I just want to know before i make a purchase or sell a rune i dont think i would want. fire owns for pve, but dont think beneficial at all for pvp. =/ Then air would be good for single target damage. but who knows lol
