Spirit of Failure + Distortion. Yay or nay?
What if...
Which is the better anti-warrior combo? While Faintheartedness and Enfeeble result in 50% slower attacks, a pontential three arrows of degen, and weakness; I've found that spirit of failure with distortion theoretically offer 100% miss rate with a chance for energy profit (somewhere around 9 inspiration will get you +4 energy with every miss, the most you can lose from distortion with zero illusion is 3 energy.) even through the text of the skill implies two different triggering conditions (miss and evade). Furthermore distortion is a stance, not an enchantment, with a quick enough recharge that can one could maintain it indefinitely. I've used this frequently in CA/TA competition and have been pleasantly reward, but I have to know: 1.) Am I wasting my time? 2.) Am I overlooking a better combo? 3.) Does this have potential outside of CA/TA? I'm curious and would enjoy reading some opinions of this combo to balance my obviously biased one. Tell me what you think.
Former Ruling
it isn't 100% miss rate though. its really large, but they CAN still get a hit through sometimes.
They have a 25% chance to miss, and a 75% chance to miss, that isn't the same as 100% (percentages dont work like that).

Signet of Midnight + Spirit/Price of Failure FTW!
What if...
I agree that Signet of Midnight is an excellent choice for missing/evading attacks, but SoM is an elite and conditions are more easily removed than hexes...
Also a closer approximation of the percentage is 81.25 percent.

Wouldn't work more like first you have a chance to miss... let's say you don't, then you have a chance to be evaded? If so, then it's even better.

Like What If and Former Ruling said, it stacks multiplicitively, percentages are not added. It would not be 100%, it would be a 81.25% miss/evade chance.
