Forgotten Ones/Forgotten Wisdom

While I'm sure this has come up before, I can't find it by searching.

I cannot get the Forgotten Ones quest in Destiny's Gorge (from Annelle Fips, right?). Rumor has it that other people have been glitched in this way. Or is there simply a prerequisite for getting it?

And if there's a glitch, is there a known workaround?

I never completed any other desert quests before i got this but once i had re-visited the town 3 or 4 times in a row and suddently the exclamation mark was over there head...Not sure if thats who gives the quest, cant remember really - but its possibly a glitch

Annelle Fips indeed gives the Forgotten Ones quest. A web search confirms that.

She's just not giving it to me.

I've never had any problems getting it on 6 toons. Have you done any desert quests yet? I generally go to Augury first so that quest is done before I get to DG.

I've done two of the three desert missions (not Thirsty River). I've done about two other desert quests (walking to the Mesa, killing Minotaurs). My only outstanding desert quest is Ancient Secrets (plus the mission).

I am pretty sure you have to be ascended to get that quest from her. Try beating the last of the three desert missions, then ascend and try again.

No you do not have to be ascended, I've completed this 15-point quest on each of my 6 toons prior to ascending. This is guildwiki's guide and no requirement is listed:

You should seek out Sariss Yassith in Skyward Reach if you would find out more about these Forgotten.
