Ok, so I recently noticed an option under 'Edit Account' on the character select screen after you login. 'Manage Access Keys' seems to allow you to add extra features to your account via a new keycode. Now, the obvious immediate application of this is the coming preview weekend but the most important question for me is this:
What happens if you enter another Guild Wars game access key (equivalent to the one you're already using) into the 'Manage Access Keys' menu?
I'm really hoping it gives you four more character slots on that account. If it doesn't it should. Does anyone know? Have ANet said anything? I've searched for an answer to these questions but met with no success. If there is already an answer I apologise... Failing that, has there been any official confirmation of exactly how many additional character slots chapter 2 will grant users of chapter 1 when installed together?
Thanks!

I am 100% certain that you will not get 4 (or any) more character slots.
This is currently for entering collectors edition keys to upgrade your existing account.
No-one is sure exactly how many extra slots you will get with Chapter2, but, who cares, get ready for a lot of fun over the next few days. Changes have already happened in Tombs...

You won't get an error as you can add a collectors ed key or a preorder key to your acct. Korea also had a special promo from coke that gave keys as well for special items.

I know you can add collectors keys, I said so.
He asked:
"What happens if you enter another Guild Wars game access key (equivalent to the one you're already using)".
And I replied:
"I'm almost 100% certain you will get nothing more than an error message".
Still think I'm wrong?

the AURA would be added to the account and nothing would be lost

however, spending $75 extra dollars just so you can have an aura in the game when you do emotes seems rather frivolous to me. You won't get more user slots or anything like that, JUST the aura.

Interesting. It'd be about £40 for me as I'm on the other side of that lake off your East coast. You are right - it would be a rather questionable use of resources just to get glowing hands. Nonetheless, thank you very much for the information everyone!

You also get an very nice artbook (hardbound) and orginal soundtrack audio cd & free pair of headphones w/ mic.

It's not worth it to add collector's key to a regular account. You can create a new account with all the collector's edition benefit with 4 new character slots. I have tried to add both the America and Europe keys for next weekend's event to an account, and it gave me an error message saying something like I already have the feature the key provides, so I think it would be the same if you try to add a regular game key to a regular account.
