My W/mo Griffon farming build!

Ok guys I know there is alot of W/Mo builds out there, and several that are centered around griffon farming. However, This build is more or less center around farming ne thing u want, that does physical damage, (I.E. Griffons, Trolls, Minator, ect.).

I am going to start off with my equipment:Not my exact equipment cuz I am poor but in theory the best to use:

Armor:
Ok u need Full Gladiators Armor with the +axe mastery helm. Throw a Sup Absorption in the curiass, a Sup Axe Mastery in the Helm, now as for the next two runes u can put them in ne part of the armor u want that is left, They are a Superior Tactics and Superior Vigor. The Gladiato's only has 80 base defense, however, it adds 20 def vs physical. giving u 100 defense per piece of armor. Also it gives u that extra energy, and even though u won't need the extra energy, it definatly can't hurt (if u want just get eh colectors version of the warrios armor from the desert, it has everything u need minus the added energy.)

Gear:
My Wepon and sheild are, Tanzit's Cleaver and a Max Ornate Buckler (8 tatics req) with +40hp (enchanted) (+45hp would be more desirable), and -2 damage (9% chance) (enchanted would be better)

Now your Hp will be decreased by 150 due to the Superior runes but do not worry. You will gain +30 (wepon) +45(sheild) +50 (Sup Vigor) = 125 hp, making ur over all loss only 25hp.

Attributes:
Healing Prayers: 8
Smiting Prayers: 7
Axe Mastery: 16 (1+3+12)
Tactics: 9 (6+3)
Strength 1 (left overs)

Ok as for skills:
Cyclone Axe - "Watch yourself!" - Bonetti's Defense - Symbol of Wrath -
Healing Hands - Vigorous Spirit - Mending - Bathazar's Spirit

How to do it:
Ok, Now obviously u will want to put on ur 2 enchantments, I go ahead and do them both b4 I even take off, usually the few rockshots and minotars u encounter will get a few hits in while u run refilling ur energy a little.

Now I like to try and take out the few Minotars first so I run in and gather them all up, ne were from 5-9. Step One: is throw on Watch yourself, vigorous spirt, healing hands, the cyclone, this will heal u, give u your energy back, and fill ur adrenaline back up. Step Two: Then I use Watch yourself - Bonetti's - Symbol of Wrath - Cyclone axe, IN THAT ORDER. the bonetti's keeps you from taking damage while casting Wrath, This combination will do roughly 80 to each minator, and 120 to the 1 or 2 that don't run. By the time they all get back around u you need to have redone your Vigorous spirit, and the second they get back around u use Step Three: Cyclone Axe - Healing Hands - Watch yourself - Cyclone Axe. This will do about another 50 damage to each, as well as healing you. Now I usually hit Cyclone axe one more time until Healing hands is gone and then again after wards. By now ur Bonetti's will definatly be recharged and Symbol of wrath should be as well, so repeat Step Two.

Use this same formula for Griffons and ne other farming u wish to do.

using My version of this build I can solo up to 9 Griffons at one time. If I could afford another Sup Vigor, Sup Absorption, and full Gladiato's right now, I would say I could get up to 12.

Note: This build takes practice to use and to get the combinations down right, but keep working at it and u will get it down in no time.

This is a very nice build, however for people like me who wish to get 5 groups or all of them in the area which could be 25-30 griffs it wouldn't work well with the AoE, if they run your mana is draining, plus the final thrust move that they will use would kill you before you could say "Ah!".

Don't get me wrong or anything your build is very nice for small groups. Just nothing for a big farmer whos looking for a huge group. At least your build allows you the power to kill rockshots if they get in the way, unlike some other ones which have like 8 axe.

How long does it take you yourself to clear the griffens not including boss's? I'm done is about 3mins - 5mins depending on rockshots, oh and not including walking time.

Hmmm, was just thinking, why not replace symbol with gladiators defense? You're sure to get more damage out of that.

Add one piece of Ascalon or knights for the -2 universal damage reduction.

Axe gloves, sword gloves, hammer gloves. Makes it easy to remember which piece of armor to change out later.

The ideal combination IMO for farming is a 3:1 Vamp Axe or a Zelous Axe(sp) with a fortitude mod like you suggested and a 16 armor shield with low req in str or tactics that adds hp while enchanted or in stance.

Ok as for skills:
Cyclone Axe - "Watch yourself!" - Bonetti's Defense - Symbol of Wrath -
Healing Hands - Vigorous Spirit - Mending - Bathazar's Spirit Drop the smiting attributes and all related skills you do not need them and it will just piss you off when they run away from you. Add 2 to the healing to get the best healing for your distribution from Live Vic/Cyclone. Keep the following IMO:

Bonetti's
Cyclone Axe

Add these IMO:

Glads Def
Heal Sig
Live Vic
Watchful Spirit

You can pick the last 2 skills. I bring Sprint to move from place to place and usually decide on the other according to what I am farming.

I am possibly misunderstanding the above quote but for safety sake and pocket book savings I would like to mention that you don't need another sup abs or sup vig or another set of armor for this.

Another note the build that I outlined above can do 25+ of monitors/trolls ...now if only I could gather that many at one time

Nice build...I hope you posted it because you want some opinions....if not sorry but I am at work and bored.

You can and should use the build you like! That is what makes the game fun!

About the same depending on how big of a group I can bring in. I could do the larger groups if I had the armor I need. This is more a poor boys farming build. If I had the time, and gold I would have my 105hp Warrior set up.

And in defense of wrath, The idea is to have them run from u for a min to regen ur skills. Yes Gladiator's would perfect this build but u can't have 2 elites on one build. Find me a good replacement for Healing hands and this build could easily double its speed and effectivnesss. And smiting is used to help Balthazar's in giving u energy (u gain one regardless) but it increases the amount of adrenaline u get. Wrath was just an empty spot, that I used to deal decent damage to all of them at one time. and it gives my skills time to recharge.

Does it matter for the damage reduction whether you put the absorption rune in the cuirass or in another piece of armour? I believe I jammed mine in my ascalon helm.

U take most of ur attacks in the curiass area, meaning to get the reduction u need it on the curiass. Howevere, this is just a rumor I heard. I am not sure if it really matters.

To be an efficient W/Mo Farmer. You really need to have either Gladiators Defence of Sield of Judgement be your main kill. Since the AoE nerf, people have been scrambling to try and Re-Perfect the build.

The benefit of a Glads Defense build allows you to concentrate the majority of your attribute skills into Tactics and Axe Mastery. Which allows for max damage output, and doesn't require you to spend any points in Smite. The only drawback is that Glads Defense doesn't do anything to Rockshots. So extra care must be taken to kill them before Mino's and Griffs.

The benefit of a Shield of Judgement build is that any creature (Including Rockshots) messing with you pays the price. Shield lasts longer and does more damage, but takes longer to recharge and can be interrupted. (Unlike GD) A drawback to a W/Mo running SoJ is that before attribute points can be put into Smite. All weapon and shield req.'s must be met, as well as the minimum of 8 for healing. So SoJ really isn't maximized as it would be if a true monk farmer were running it.

Healing Hands although nice isn't really needed, and doesn't help in the kill. If you are running Mending, Live Vicariously, Bonetti's Defense, and Healing Breeze. You should never really be in danger of dying.

My build is such:
Armor: 15k Glads with Ascalon Helm and Superior Vig and Absorb Runes, PLus all needed warrior runes.

Weapon and Shield: Max Chaos Axe with 3/-1 Vamp Haft and +30 Grip, +44/-2 Shield

Healing 8
Smite 11
Axe 10
Tactics 9

Bonetti's, Cyclone, SoJ, Zealots, Breeze, Vigorous, Live Vicariously, Mending

The only way to avoid the AoE nerf is to use Zealots Fire and alternate between Cyclone Axe and Vigorous Spirit skills. Use Breeze when needed in large mobs. And when energy gets low Bonetti up and repeat.

Global damage reduction comes from one piece of either Knights or Ascalon armor.

Damage reduction from an ABS rune only applies to the piece of armor it is placed on. So to answer the question yes...place it on your chest for the most effective use as my guild mate pointed out above.

Sry no, I am gonna try and get a R/W build up ASAP. I need to farm and get some more gold though. (Have spent about 100k with my W/mo build testing it and revising it, and I am not through on him yet, got another 100k+ to go) And for those who don;t really like my builds, u don;t ahve too. I just like to post ppl a variety, a different way to play other than how everyone else is doing it. I do have a great idea in line for a R/W solo build utilizing WS, Axe Mastery, Tactis, Expertise. So get ready as soon as I get the gold to fund my build I will post it for all to see.

Well for my farm trips I take the following-(Slot Order)

Gladiator's Defense
Shield Stance
Bonneti's Defense
Mending
Healing Breeze
Healing Signet
Deadly Riposte
Riposte

I believe more in damage from your stances and ripostes than from your actual weapon. In this way I can farm up to 15 mountain trolls at once at the troll cave at Droks, and can farm infinite amounts of griffs, if i could get them to come all together. =\. One problem is I can't kill the monk grif boss, maybe since I'm lazy, and the guardian/vigorous spirit/aegis is just annoying. Any Suggestions for sword, besides Savage Slash.

Also, atleast 1 gold item? All I have gotten are like atleast 1 purple item... unless I'm missing a a cache of griffs somewhere.....

Now. Who wants to kill my build and suggest their own .

Oh and also, do Absorbtion runes stack? Not many on one armor, but if you had 5 runes spread on 5 armor? Does that stack? I know knight's armor is like that.

Actually I like it, I was thinking of doing somthing like that myself. HYowever, I am also too lazy, thats why I made this build I did, I stil haven't capped Gladiator's defense. LOL! But hey maybe one of these days I will find a group to go with that can actually make it that far in the mission.

I know these w/mo biulds are famous for farming but honestly I run a W/mes i take absolutely 0 damage and i farm with a sword with all griffins on me in each farm. i also take out rockshots and minataurs in clusters with this build again witn zero damage. I use no enchantments no heeling breeze i never get disrupted and final thrust does max of 1-2 pts da if any at all. I am telling u I run the imps and trolls with this build with the same effect its too easy. Thew secret to this biuld is 3 skills: dolyak sig, prot from melee, and shields up. Those 3 skills will make u a tank (sometimes u swap out prot from elem) but most areas that people farm with w/monk i farm easier with w/mes right now working UW with a solo w/mes will update after i get it down.

Cool. You knowI use Mo/Me and a primary Me all the time in arenas. I love it when warriors decide to attack me and after about 5 min they realize, "I'm not doing any dmg to this little monk.

But I never thought of it for farming. I'll have to give it a try.

I'm sick of reading these builds. There is a flawless Griffon/Troll/Mino/ect farmer that never fails... I know people are trying to be creative, but they just don't compare...

Cyclone Axe / Bonetti's Defense / Gladiator's Defense / Sprint / Freebie / Vigorous Spirit / Live Vicariously / Mending
Healing - 8 or 9
Axe - 11
Strength - Extra
Tactics - 10 or 11

Alright... so you get your mad mob chasing you. You stop to cast Vigorous Spirit (Mending/Live Vicariously as the run starts) and... OH NOES! Only 150 life left! Quick, better hit the Cyclone Axe and get back up to full health, while then hitting Bonetti's for full energy, and then Gladiator's for power damage.

Could it be any harder to operate? v,v

Oh. Also, for customization you could completely empty Axe stats and put them elsewhere. Your main damage dealer is Gladiator's, Cyclone is only for charging your attacks. Also, I usually put Defensive Stance in the spot where that freebie is. Just in case Cyclone get's disrupted and you need to buy some time to keep yourself alive while it recharges.
