Energy Regen >>>

When I was in beginning-to-mid level as my ranger/elementalist, my energy regen was at least 4 arrows and regenerated much faster than it does now, at level 18. None of my skills have an energy cost to holding them, unless its hidden, and my regen is at 3 >>> arrows, and is rediculously slow, even outside of battle.

I have the Druids complete (55) armor set... is my regen supposed to be that slow, or what can I get/change to fix it?

Do you have any armor or weapons with -1 energy regen? Also are you using any kind of spells that are enchantments?

Ranger's naturally have a +3 energy regen. You'd have had to have something boosting it to +4 in the first place...

I do have something boosting it to +3, 'Druid Leggings: Energy regen +1'

...and no, I have no enchantment spells equipped.

No, nothing is wrong. Rangers have 3 arrows. It's something you'll need to learn to live with.

No, as he said, rangers have +3 by default... I have +3 with +1 druid leggings, and +2 with nothing equipped... somethings wrong

Those leggings are what put you at +3 energy. It's totally normal.

You see, all characters have +2 energy regen as the base. Armor affects this for each class. The Warrior remains at only +2 energy, while the Mesmer gets bonuses up to +4. (I believe on hands and feet. Not that it matters.)

Okay, so first ranger is +3 by default, now it's +2... I guess Soul meant, you automatically get +3 with the armor you wear... well... I wonder what I had before to make it +4

There's a little confusion here as to what "natural regen" each class has. They all have +2 regen naturally I believe. Strip down all your chars and they should end up with +2 regen. All the rest comes from armor. When equiped certain armor pieces (like leg or chest, not talking about the sets), there will be a bonus mod with +1 Energy Regen. Rangers have one piece to give them +3 regen total. Necros/Eles/Mes/Monks all have two pieces of armor that give +1, so they end up with +4 regen when they put all their armor on.

The piece of armor that gives it is the same on all sets I think, so you can mix and match armor sets without worrying about losing that regen. I may be wrong, but I don't think there are any item mods that give a positive Energy regen outside of armor pieces. There are skills that can boost your Energy regen though.

No idea why you had +4 on a Ranger primary though...

Darn, it just feels like before I was using skills non-stop (with the same energy cost as I'm using now) and I would only have a delay between them every once in awhile as opposed to now, where I'm half-way, if that, back to full energy when the next battle comes. Thanks for the help.
