I have been having trouble actually attacking targets....
My problem is this:
In order to attack a target I must click on them or their name with my mouse....but if they are moving it can be hard to tell my charicter to attack and not just run to the spot where my mouse missed them.
Is there a way to make a key that attacks the currently selected foe that does not effect movement?
Its really irritating when I just run around like an idiot getting bashed on while i try to mouse click my foe....
Is there an easeir way to attack?

- 'Tab' cycles enemy targets.
- 'C' selects the closest enemy.
- 'Space' attacks target.
- 'Ctrl + Space' calls target and attacks.
- 'Shift + Ctrl + Space' calls target, but does not attack.

I wondered this myself, and found the answer in control customization. There is a command called "Do it" which is the same as mouse-clicking. This means attacking a foe, or talking to an NPC. You can assign it to whatever key you want, but I think Space is the default.

is there a way to assist an ally if he doesnt call out the target?

You can hit C to target the closest enemy. Tab will cycle through the nearby targets (within radar reach) and Shift+Tab cycles in reverse (in case you skip over the desired target. To start attacking when you have a target, either hit Spacebar to attack with you weapon, or activate an offensive spell.
If someone calls a target (by hitting Ctrl+Spacebar), hit T to lock in on that called target so everyone can focus fire. You can also highlight all the enemies by holding Ctrl. Just remember that Ctrl+Clicking certain interface things like skills or your health bar will call those things out to your party.
I almost never use my mouse to target things, too much of a pain.
Edit: There is no way to assist if an ally doesn't call a target. You can sometimes tell which enemy they are fighting, but that's about it.
