I think Korea has the best guilds in Taipei, Europe didn't get eserotic, Amerika didn't get pRp and Ep.
And Korea has the nr.1 and some hardcore [12 hours a day -_-'] guild called War Machine.
IMO, Korea has the advantage.

Er, didnt IQ beat Ep? Oh yeah they did. While Ep beat pRp.
Wed Jan 11, 3am GMT
Tues Jan 10, 7pm PST Eternum Pariah (1) defeated Patient Relaxed People (8)
Fri Jan 13, 3am GMT
Thurs Jan 12, 7pm PST Idiot Savants (5) defeated Eternum Pariah (1)
Why are you saying they have an advantage where the team that beat Ep, who beat pRp, is going to taipei and puts america at a disadvantge?

/me looks forward to your brownies.

Apart from LuM going instead of EW, that is exactly how I predicted the outcome of the regionals.
And as for Korea having the better guilds there, it is very hard to say at this stage. I really could not say how the matches will go. Korean and American teams have very different styles of play, and how they interact with each other will be interesting. Korean guilds tend to focus more broadly on strategy and tactics, wheras American guilds tend to be slightly more experimental with builds.
(The exception being Arirang and their wierd ass builds.)

If anyone look at builds, those builds of America and Europe are much more similar than the Korea builds.
I just hope Korea won't hold both 1st and 2nd in the World Championship @_@

The Taipei matches will be really interesting, should be broadcasted to tv I know I am recording the last match I vote for WM to win.
Gildor Took

SilentAssassin
congrats to all these lovly guilds, real fun watching them play
Go VAL !!!
Go VAL !!!

Korea are hardcore, all the other teams are WM fodder.
All of the players in WM got sick micro, its gonna take a serious build mismatch to take any ground, but i doubt any of the teams will keep their current builds so itll be a blind matchup.

I would appreciate if we could keep this thread to congratulating the winning teams.
On that note, congratulations to the winners of the regional playoffs.

Congrats to all teams and gl. My favorite game so far is Te vs. iQ (game 1) iQ is awesome!!!!
Takkun
I still can't figure out what happened to Te on that second game.
And im surprised they didn't make a build change on the second game when they realised that the other team has a heal party/Martyr Monk in the waaay back. Its as if that monk only used two skills that entire match.

Yeah -- Congrats!! 'Course I am cheering borth iQ and Te (Yes, esp. Lulu, although I suspect that her flag running antics is gonna met with hardship... )
Think I said this before but in case those visiting Taipei needs a tip: "Make sure to visit the Imperial Palace Museum!!"
If you were ever interested in Chinese culture, this is the place to visit. Over500+ years of treasures accumulated by the Yuan, Ming, and Ching dynasties are there (no, it's not in mainland China).
No, I am not affiliated in anyways with the museum, it's just that it's like one of my favorite museums in the world...

I think that the championship is going to be very interesting and I am looking forward to watching it. Hopefully the observer mode doesnt crash with all the people wanting to watch it.
Once again, good job finalists (Go USA!!! )

Alex Weekes
Congratulations to all the teams going, especially the Europeans. Very much looking forward to seeing you all do battle in Taipei.
And a quick reminder for everyone ... At E3 last year, The Valandor were the only guild to defeat War Machine. If a rematch occurs, it could be very interesting . Definitely one to watch on Observer Mode!
