when you make a guild in the game can you have your friends join and if so how do i do it.

Of course you can invite friends to your guild, that the whole purpose of guilds

Open the Guild window (press 'g' or menu->guild), and type in the name of those you wish to invite. Your friends then have to open their guild window and accept the invitation.
