I got my first one the other day and a player told me to sell it for 9k.
Do I want to just sell it or is it for something special?
Also: Do I have to run to the UW zone everytime I want to go there? Cant find it on my map but I know I was there yesterday...

ectos are a material required for Fissure of Woe armour which currently is the most expensive armour in the game. Underworld = Ectos, Fissure of Woe= Shards however there are some rumours that you can get ectos in Fissure of Woe.

to get to the Underworld(UW) you always have to go to The Temple of ages but onlywhen your region has favour will you be able to enter

Thought there were two entrances to the UW: the Temple of Ages and a statue in the middle of the run from Beacon's to Droks. Can anyone verify?

You can get Globs of Ectoplasm in Fissure of Woe too, only dropped by Banshees though.

There are rumors that the Ravagers in the Bloodstone Fen mission can drop ecto's too. I've been testing it out, haven't had an ecto drop yet. Is there any point to this rumor or is it just that? A rumor.

It's a rumor buddy,
The only place that has ectoplasms are Underworld and Fissure of Woes.
Ectos are used for fissure armor, armor that can be acquired at Fissure of Woes.
If you don't want fissure armor, sell it for 9k

.Fissure = Droknars if comparing armor level...
Fissure > Droknars when comparing looks
And fissure costs more

The FOW armor is some of the best looking armor..but that is a matter of opinion. No special stats.. No special bonus.
