A few questions :D

I played beta and so I have some knowledge but I have a few questions if sum1 would answer i'd appreciate it>

1. How come I use an ID kit and then an expert salvage kit on blue + salvage items, and get nothing but "item unlocked: such and such rune" when people say I should get a rune?

2. Are the end game tournaments still all 8vs8 or are there other setups?

3. Has NCsoft ever mentioned making a 1vs1 arena, if so why not?

4. Which class/spec has the most damage output, and likewise which is the most defensive?

5. Are UI's legal? If so is there something where I can atleast see the debuffs on my enemies?

Bad luck.

Seriously, all you have to do to unlock the rune for PvP is intentify it, which is a 100% rate. Actually salvaging the rune is another story...

8v8, or I suppose GvG. But mostly that's the set up, for the moment.

I know it was considered. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, as it been talked about several times that the game wasn't really made with 1v1 in mind.

But you never know.

Defense - Warrior (Primary class armor)
Damage - Elemenalist (Spells coupled with Primary stat, Energy storage.)

In reality, neither of those are true, because they're are so many different ways around everything in the game. All characters truly end up equal in the end.

According to the EULA, no modifications of any kind are allowed to Guild Wars. For seeing debuffs you'll never be able to tell exactly which ones are up. There are a few guildines to keep your eye on though:

- Purple health bar.
- Down arrow on right side of heath bar.
- Yellow health bar.

Other than those, you're on your own.

what is up with these skills for warrs where its like " if this attack hits you do +1 dmg"
am i missing something?
what good is +1 dmg

That's probably +1 if you haven't trained that attribute. If the skill is tied to swordsmanship, the skill will increase in damage and/or duration when you put attribute points into the swordsmanship attribute. Any text that is green in the description will change depending on how many points you have trained into the accompanying attribute. Some skill, like a ranger skill that I can't remember the name of, only do 1 damage, but they interupt and/or disable an opponent's skill for a certain duration.
