More of a complaint than a question…
Should sellers be allowed to state "reserve right not to sell" in the body of their auction?
This causes a number of problems in my opinion and the only way for buyers to avoid them is to not bid on any auctions that state this.
Firstly, why don't the sellers just use a reserve price if they don't want to sell for a certain price? I’m pretty new to the game so I do not have 100+ platinum lying around. In other words, if I bid on an auction that states this, I have to wait until I find out if the seller is going to follow through with the sale. Often times the seller just ignores the auction all together if the price is not to his liking, forcing me to pass up other auctions I would like to bid on. Furthermore, I think the seller should not be exempted from the same contract the buyer enters into upon bidding. Does anyone else see the kinds of problems this creates for the buyer?
