being able to make new threads that already exist
conker
I think its pretty stupid not being able to remake a thread, my reasons are 1: when a thread gets old, no one talks in it ne more and when one person thinks of something to say on that thread, and they post it, the other people go "why bump up a 2 month old thread?" and still get kinda insulted at, like where u make a same thread they go "use the search button stupid" so.. my point is whats the point when u get insulted at in both ways..
Savio
You can remake old threads; it happens all the time, in fact. But there are several cases where it's not a good idea:
1. Asking about a certain mission/quest - they rarely if ever change, so new threads are almost pointless and/or in the wrong forum.
2. Making a debate about a really old topic, such as UAS or PvE vs PvP. They already had thousands of posts, flames, and banned users over these topics, so we don't really need it all over again. Despite what most people think, their threads are very often not new or unique thoughts.
3. Making a thread that is posted a lot, such as "where do crystallines drop?" Had the person tried a single search they would have gotten several threads on the matter.

im with the op here
i will take this chance to make a question
does a new thread take more server space then a normal post ?
i know this is about organizing and making it easyer to read by everyone , but in a so fast forum like this , 1 hour threads can go down so fast. its almost impossible to keep a track of whats going on.
but i also agree with savio , its depends on what kind of thread. i was surprized when a thread that i made was closed , i PM the mod that did it , and i was told to make another one just like it , that it was closed becose it went offtopic. that was new to me , a mod asking me to remake the same thread.

Old Dood
I agree to a point. When some threads get so old and buried there should be no problem starting a newer more updated one. However, on the missions, builds, quest, etc we should ALL do a search on those. They are not that hard to find. Keywording for those is easy where as other threads are more difficult.
awesome sauce
This topic has been posted many, many times before. Please use search
Just kidding
Seriously though, I agree. I think its a real turn off for new people coming to this forum, and I think that some people are also abusing their thread closing power a little too much.
