Zeppelin i get ur point. but i have to disagree. If that weapon is suited for necros, then, they should make weapons suited for elementalists?. U compare a skull with a necro because he uses death magic, and a skill represends death...and so on.

My favorite ones are the shield and hammer. At first I thought the hammer was a staff though :O
Now if they could only have a Skill Visual Effect Contest type of thing... I think that some of the skills in the game have pretty lame graphics

Is that staff going to be for a particular class (looks kind of like a monk staff) or do you think it'll be like Ghostly and Shadow staffs? It's a shame how the casters don't seem to get much in the way of cool skins, I would've liked a really nice new ele staff or something.

all very good but i think it would be better if the bow has dragon textured wings rather than metalic bat wings,would better suit the oriental theme of ch2 aswell.just my oppinion.but gratz to all the winners and mentions,can't wait to see the mention entries (hint hint a.net).

yeah, it was a pretty strait forward drawing. I should have drawn the top and bottom, but I was being so lazy.. almost missed the deadline!It would be nice to get a free one with good stats, but it might also be nice to acctually work to find/make a good one. btw: Mine isn't a bone theme, the rock on top and bottom were ment to be crystals. we'll see if they take that suggestion (I wrote it on the entry)

I guess now the only thing to do is wait and see if the in-game graphics can compare to the drawn graphics.
Hard to imagine them turning out as good as the sketches. That hammer has a lot of detail, will the GW engine be able to capture the jagged-rock feeling and all the chains? Will they be able to capture the great detail of Michael Chang's sword?
PS: I like all of them. Swords included. Nicole Morris' Bone Sword doesn't look bad at all, imo. Looks like it'll be a common weapon used by undead enemies.

good point. When I made the hammer I was wondering how they would pull it off without spending too many polys on it.. I'm interested to see!

Ooo, a guildie of mine's girlfriend made the shield, he said it only took her 3 days.
I loff it, especially since it was modeled after the dwayna statue.

I saw the results of the contest. Awesome job to all those that sent in an entry & a well deserved congratulations to those that made the final cut. Cant wait till these items make it ingame. Hopefully they do what they did with original GW and have some of these be 'special' items. You know where they had special items as extras on a certain number of the 1st copies that were sold. That would be awesome! Bad would be that not everyone would get one or everyone wouldnt have the chance of one dropping. But to the people that submitted the drawings that would be an awesome tribute to them IMO.

haha not everybody agrees, but then thats always the case with competitions like these. Everybody has his/her likes and dislikes.

We sent an email to everyone on the Winners, Honorable Mentions, and Finalists lists a few days after the contest results were announced, but we've not heard back from several who placed.

Incidentally, we sent out about another 25 packages today, so we're definitely making headway on the distributions! We will send codes for characters slots by next Monday, at the latest.

Just tried to pull "contest" and go zero results. "Weapons" got a bunch of auctions. "Design" was a blank. I give up.
Let's just say my note is about the 2007 Design-A-Weapon Contest and leave it at that. Y'all get in touch if this pertains to you!
