FYI, searching has been disabled for a time. It's a resource hog and until we have the new server I'm sure it will be going up and down depending on the time. And yes yes... because I know someone will mention it. The mods know about this and will be lenient on posts "up to a point".

Everyone encourages it and tells everyone repeatedly to use this tool, yet it leads to the demise of the site itself...

this is really bad for me, as i always used that to track whatever auctions i was in, threads i wanted to keep up on, etc...

Actually, there is an easier way to keep track of your threads instead of searching for them .
At the top of every thread is the thread options button. Click it, then select subscribe thread.
You can check your subscribed threads in your control panel. It's very useful.

search is now enabled up to a certain point, then when load is too high it gets turned off and you have to use Google

I didnt know what forum this goes under so sorry if it was ment to go under technicians or somthin. but iv been clickin around on this site and gettin problems and it says i have to go to google to search or somthin so im just wonderin if any one else is getting this problem (btw google doesnt work)

Please turn it off again. The forums, and especially the auction site, are virtually unusable. I can find something manually faster than with the search. At least waiting for it allows me to go make some lunch. But coming to the inevitable page timeout message is frustrating.

Got that right! I just spent over 30 minutes looking for a post I had made with a pic of my necro weaons, and couldnt find it. Google search sucks! If I was able to do "Find all posts by ....." in User Control Panel, no problem, Id have it already. Im subscribing to ALOT of forum topics now, as all the searching is taking away time I could be playing(like if I see something interesting or take a neat screenshot, and want to post it in a forum Ive already been in, then return to game). I wonder if "the Forum Gods" actually care, or is all the talk about a new server Ive heard, JUST talk?

My mods and staff give up our time playing to manage these forums. I'm truly sorry that you had to devote a couple of extra minutes to find a topic you had posted in but I think the situation is being dramatized.
Yes the new server is here, yes my staff has been testing it out (and everyone of them could respond here saying they have been on the new server and site).

Gorebrex, I'm not going to be as nice as Inde about it, that's just downright rude and crass of you to say. If you think we'd lie about our attempts to improve the site, then you're grossly mistaken. I know personally that Inde and kzap do everything in their power to help the site run better and more efficiently each day, and I've seen what's been going on behind the scenes during this process.
Don't make such blind accusations if you don't know what's going on. Perhaps you'd like to order and set us up a server in 2 days? 12 hours? You know, thinking realistically dramatically helps the situation. Accusing us of lying due to an inconvienience on your part is unnecessary.

Just FYI you most probably know, search is still borked it giving memory allocation errors. I will edit this post when I try to search again.
EDIT: borked when searching through Ventari's Sell not borked when searching smalling sections of the forum. Resource hog it seems.
