The best part about this is the RPG that won (although i dont think it deserved it) FABLE-THE LOST CHAPTERS! no WOW!, Blizzard has been PWNED

fable was a let down, the shortest game ever, i beat it in like 15 hours, and did most of the side quests and stuff

fable for RPG of the year is like a Yugo winning the Nascar cup..doesnt make sence, if it was for RPG lite then I would agree

Lets be fair, some might say that good 'ol GW isn't that much of an RPG either, then again is Diablo classed as an rpg ? It's a fair point to mention that GW isn't a great deal more complex in the role-playing department than that game (as good as it it is).

I think that GW is far more an action game than an RPG. Heck, I think there are more strategy elements than RPG elements. But this year's been a little dry when it comes to actual RPG's-I think even though GW is by far the better game, Fable is actually more of an RPG.

Or we could all ignore this genre stuff, and say we all <3 Guild Wars.

remeber, this was the EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARDS, the editors of gamepro saying what was best in their eyes...

Guild Wars might turn up on the PLAYER'S CHOICE AWARDS, what the players see best

well they need some glasses, to me 10 - 20 hours of gameplay does not equal RPG of the year.
GW, I have 155 hours according to xfire and I enjoy it so much more...Fable is more of an action game to me. But Gamepro tends to favor consoles to PC's anyways.

Fable: Lost Chapters was released on PC as well. And it was about the saddest 15 hours I ever spent on an RPG. I mean, the concept is good, and the gameplay is okay, but there's so much more that could and should have been done.

Guild Wars, IMO, far surpasses that.
